Thank you for contacting us about the complaint that you received concerning our business. The ID number is *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** purchased a ODES Raider 800cc UTV from us on May 13, 2016. He brought it into our shop on 6/13/for a
noise in the clutch. *** *** told us that they had gone to a local ATV/UTV/Mud Truck ride over Memorial Day Weekend at *** *** in *** *** ***. We installed a new clutch and warranted it - parts & labor. For the first hours or miles, they state in ODES's BrePolicy that you should NOT go over half throttle. Once they reach the hours or mile mark, they needed to go get the first service done on the UTV and have it checked over. When they brought the UTV in, it had miles on it and covered in excessive mud. Enclosed is a copy of the Break In Period and Recommended Service. We delivered it back to the customer for a fee of $40.00, which he agreed to. We only had this unit in our shop from 6/13/to 6/20/for the above repairs. On 7/11/16, *** *** *** *** *** *** brought the UTV back into our shop and we warranted a ECU, Rectifier, Voltage Regulator and replaced a gear in the transmission. This time the UTV was in our shop from 7/11/to 7/15/and had evidence of being in high water and mud. A week or so later, *** *** called about having issues about starting the UTV. One of our mechanics, ***, went to *** *** *** house, which is where the UTV is usually at, and replaced the ignition with key because there was mud/water in it. There was no charge for the Labor or Service Call and the ignition with key was warrantedOn 9/1/16, *** *** brought the UTV back in for lighting issues, parking brake light, full service and front/rear end fluids changed. At this point, they (*** *** * *** *** claimed that they hardly rode it, excessive mud over it and there was evidence showing that he had it in high water because the headlights had water still in them. The miles on the UTV at this point was miles. We changed the oil and oil filter, changed the front & rear differentials fluids, installed the 2nd key ignition with key (the old one was full of water/mud for the 2nd one), adjusted the E-Brake, greased and topped off coolant (reservoir was empty). We noted that the key ignition was full of water for the second time and recommended they put the windshield back on and/or put some type of rubber over the plug for the ignition because the water was running right down onto the plug. The 1st service should of been done within the 1st miles or hours, which at this point, they had miles on it. I have enclosed a copy of the break in period and recommended service on this UTV and *** *** also received a copy of this when he purchased the UTV. For this service period, the UTV was in our shop from 9/1/to 10/4/16. He didn't call and schedule it for the service. He just showed up with it and wanted it serviced and the other things fixed. We had other bikes in for service that was ahead of him and he was told this when he dropped it off. Plus we don't always have the parts in-stock and have to order them from ***, which can take up to one to two weeks, provided they have them in-stock. He also complained that we gave him an estimate of $200.00, which the bill ended up being $with labor, oil, gear oil, sales tax and misc fees (disposal/grease fees). *** *** has used fowl language to my employees, talked very loudly, threatened us numerous times about going for a lemon law, contacting the Revdex.com and/or his attorney. We have corrected and warranted whatever issue *** *** has brought his unit in for issues and/or repairsWe have contacted ODES about his demands, but they tell use to repair the issues and submit the warranties, which we have and will continue if he brings it in for any other problems.
