Old Republic assigned S&S Plumbing to fix my water heater. It was pouring out water so I shut the water off. This was under the house, so no house damage had occurred. This was set as a priority. I have dealt with many other companies assigned by Old Republic and they always respond immediately or I can call them and they respond immediately. After an hour I tried to contact the company. No answer. There was an "in case of emergency" number to contact so I called it. Once again, no answer. I contacted Old Republic, who in turn also tried to contact the company. No answer. This is at 10 in the morning during the week. I texted the "ice" number and let him know what was going on. He was very rude and ugly. I quoted the contract rules with old republic concerning priority time frames. He told me not to contact him again on that number. I tried to explain that this was the only way that I could reach someone. He, once again, was very rude and short. I still have the texts. I contacted Old Republic again and asked them to re-assign my service to another provider. They agreed. I contacted the man by text one last time to let him know that he did not have to follow up with me bc it had been reassigned to a provider who could help quickly with a priority. Once again, he was very rude and very short with me even though I tried to explain that I was just trying to let him know so that he didn't waste his time since it had been reassigned. This company's customer service is really bad and I would not suggest anyone use this company.

Miss ***, I sense that you're upset. However, it is wholly irresponsible for you to try and slander my good name when you aren't even stating the facts. Your call came in at 9:13 am. I spoke to both you and old republic multiple times in the following hour. To try and slander someone who was too busy to drop everything they are doing for every other customer and come attend to your call is both disrespectful to others and juvenile. Your call was transferred by old republic at 10:11 am. To put that into perspective, I have 1 hour to contact planholder who REQUEST priority service. Your call was attended to AND transferred within that time frame. Your entitled attitude is what is wrong with our society today. I'm sorry that you didn't get what you wanted right when you wanted it, but we had other customers and your call was properly processed. Please withdraw this comment, as it is pure libel.

S&S plumbing was notified of a hot water heater leaking but did not fix the problem for six days resulting in destruction of my house.
April 12, 2018 I called Old Republic Home Warranty regarding a water leak from hot water heater. They contacted S&S Plumbling. They did not come out until April 16. At that time they said I needed a new water heater. I asked for confirmation that it could be replaced that day. They left. On April 17 I had water on my carpet in my home and notified S&S of the destruction to my home. They did not respond and only showed up on April 18. When I asked why they didn't come prior to the destruction of my home, they responded they had other customers. I subsequently had to have another company to fix the damage S&S caused by not coming out. I also let S&S owner know of the cost I had to pay and asked for reimbursement. He refused. The damage to my home was caused by S&S Plumbings neglect to do what had been contracted to them by Old Republic. This company also failed in customer service and I'd like retribution. I have kept this short but can give additional detail as needed.

Desired Outcome

Payment of $400 for getting another company to fix what S&S had been paid to do ($335.34) as well as pain and suffering.

The water heater was leaking before I even received the call from old republic. We could not get out to the job immediately, and instructed the customer to turn the water and power off to the unit and drain it. Mrs. attempted to claim damages against my insurance policy and her claim was denied due to water damage being present before we arrived at the home and was recorded as such with her home warranty company.

Old republic contacted s&S to fix the problem. They were to drain the tank. Their response is not in alignment with the facts of the case. I disagree as they were responsible for fixing the problem prior to it ever leaking into the house. See my original claim. The company that had to fix the mess also corroborates.
