does get into the basementThe basement does not get mud and soil and there is not an infestation of bugs as the tenant claimsThere was a dehumider left in the basement for the purpose of the dampness as I discussed with the tenantPictures were sent to me; however, as I pointed out to the tenants, the owner was aware of this issue as well myself and the tenantsThe owner did have concern regarding the tenants as the yard was not maintained and he had concern for the interior not being maintained as wellThe tenants were also informed the property was going to be put on market for saleI DO NOT BELIEVE THEY VACATED DUE TO HEALTH AND SAFETY CONCERNSThe tenants did not let me know they were vacating the propertyThey did not adhere to terms of the leaseThey left property damaged and trashedThey could not put rent is escrow as there was no reason they could not live at propertyThe tenants are not contractors, they have no expert knowledge of the state of the foundation and they were informed water came in basement as it was pointed out in the showing as well as initial walk thru inspection.I am sorry for their inconvenienceIt is unfortunate they were so unhappyI hope they will be happy in their new residenceI will not have any future contact with them and I would expect the same.Thank you for your attention to this matter.Sue S***, Broker/Owner
