I'm writing this letter with reference to your inquiry regarding Mr.***I saw Mr [redacted] my office on the 5th of FebruaryMr [redacted] was skateboarding hurt his left knee weeks before he came to my officeHe had seen his primary care doctor and he was given a knee immobilizer and he was uncomfortable with the knee immobilizerI have examined his knee and I noted some ligament tear in the kneeBecause of the instabilityHe had MRI done and the MRI shows he has cruciate ligament damage in the kneeI have discussed his clinical examination, his MRI finding, and his treatment optionsIn my experience, not everybody requires surgery for the ligament tear in the knee, most people will do well with appropriate brace and rehabilitation exercises to strengthen the muscles in the kneeEven if surgery is necessary, It should be done secondarily at a later stage in life after conservative treatment failedl do not see any immediate need for surgeryBecause this is not an emergency operation and one should generally try conservative approachThe complications of surgery are very many such as postoperative stiffness, infection, graft rupture, graft failure, and less than a successful outcomeFinally, I offered patient a different functional brace, which he agreed and accepted, and I have provided him from my office a very nice functional knee brace, which is what most people would use for the kind of injury he hasalso showed him exercises to strengthen his legIf he chose to have surgery I told him that he should consider higher level of care such as a university hospital where there are experts in a university setting such as sports trained physicians who can consider surgery, In my opinionI have rendered him the best care including providing him a very nice functional knee brace including showing him the exercises he should be doingOnce againI'd like to say that surgery is not the answer for all ligament tears in the knee and not everybody requires surgeryThis is because the complications of surgery exist and if surgery fails, he will be in much worse condition, which I have explained to the patientThank you for allowing me to respond to Your inquiry and if I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact my office

Hi, I just read the response message from Dr. ***He was not being entirely honestI saw him twice on February 5thMy appointment was scheduled for 9:30amThe first time I saw him was a frightening ordeal, for he lashed out and was very unprofessional towards meWhat I experienced was an intentional infliction of emotional distress from Dr. ***He asked how I was doing and I answered honestly, which I presumed he did not anticipateWhy be glib and give generic answers, such as "I'm fine, all is well?" He later told me that I have two options, physical therapy or surgery, but was brief and did not elaborateI declined surgery at first because he did not adequately consulted me of the potential risks/benefitsHe was reluctant to consult me, for he kept trying to leave after every inquiry I hadBefore he left, he mentioned I should make a follow up appointmentWhen I tried to schedule an appointment, the front desk person seemed puzzledShortly after, I requested a surgery consultation appointment, but was told to wait instead to see the doctor after he is finished with all his patientsIn hindsight, I was given the run aroundWhat swayed my decision to seek surgery was a female nurse and a male front desk employee. Although they are not doctors, they were somewhat more helpful than he wasIf I chose the physical therapy route, I can one day walk normally without a limp, and bicycle; whereas if I choose surgery, eventually, I could jog, run, skateboard, jump rope, and kick boxHe should not generalize me, for I am an active being of the human kindPlease interview the employees, for they can corroborate my storyIn sum, his response letter is exaggerated and embellishedWhy should I seek conciliation/resolution from the Revdex.com, when a competent doctor should have informed me this valuable information the very first visit? Is he not following the code of medical ethics by withholding crucial information? It should not be this way, nor escalate this far. This is what Dr. *** did not disclose this to me on February 5th,"In my experience, not everybody requires surgery for the ligament tear in the knee, most people will do well with appropriate brace and rehabilitation exercises to strengthen the muscles in the kneeEven if surgery is necessary, It should be done secondarily at a later stage in life after conservative treatment failedl do not see any immediate need for surgeryBecause this is not an emergency operation and one should generally try conservative approachThe complications of surgery are very many such as postoperative stiffness, infection, graft rupture, graft failure, and less than a successful outcome.""Once againI'd like to say that surgery is not the answer for all ligament tears in the knee and not everybody requires surgeryThis is because the complications of surgery exist and if surgery fails, he will be in much worse condition, which I have explained to the patient."I will seek litigation proceedings against Dr. *** if the Revdex.com can not help me resolve this issue. Best regards,**

I'm writing this letter with reference to your inquiry regarding Mr.[redacted]. I saw Mr. [redacted] my office on the 5th of February. Mr. [redacted] was skateboarding hurt his left knee 2 weeks before he came to my office. He had seen his primary care doctor and he was given a knee immobilizer and he was...

uncomfortable with the knee immobilizer. I have examined his knee and I noted some ligament tear in the knee. Because of the instability. He had MRI done and the MRI shows he has cruciate ligament damage in the knee. I have discussed his clinical examination, his MRI finding, and his treatment options. In my experience, not everybody requires surgery for the ligament tear in the knee, most people will do well with appropriate brace and rehabilitation exercises to strengthen the muscles in the knee. Even if surgery is necessary, It should be done secondarily at a later stage in life after conservative treatment failed. l do not see any immediate need for surgery. Because this is not an emergency operation and one should generally try conservative approach. The complications of surgery are very many such as postoperative stiffness, infection, graft rupture, graft failure, and less than a successful outcome. Finally, I offered patient a different functional brace, which he agreed and accepted, and I have provided him from my office a very nice functional knee brace, which is what most people would use for the kind of injury he has.1 also showed him exercises to strengthen his leg. If he chose to have surgery I told him that he should consider higher level of care such as a university hospital where there are experts in a university setting such as sports trained physicians who can consider surgery, In my opinion. I have rendered him the best care including providing him a very nice functional knee brace including showing him the exercises he should be doing. Once again. I'd like to say that surgery is not the answer for all ligament tears in the knee and not everybody requires surgery. This is because the complications of surgery exist and if surgery fails, he will be in much worse condition, which I have explained to the patient. Thank you for allowing me to respond to Your inquiry and if I can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact my office

This is my follow-up response regarding Mr. [redacted], At this time, I would like to say that he has been evaluated, he has been examined, and I have consulted on his knee problem, obtained x-rays, discussed MRI, and discussed treatment options. I have also provided him with a functional knee brace, which is something most people of his type of knee condition would be using that he has not acknowledged. Myself and our office staff have provided him consultation and advice in a professional manner.
