Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:

I do not believe that [redacted] had any intention of refunding
my 2500 dollars.  If it were not for the important work that the Revdex.com does,
[redacted] would take my 2500 dollars and disappear. As I stated earlier, I
called him multiple times, sent him certified mail requesting my refund, which
he signed. He lied to me in two separate phone calls, stating that he already
put my refund check “In the mail.”
Not to mention, the only way I could contact him was calling him
from a unmarked phone number that he didn’t recognize.  I had my father
call [redacted] in one last attempt to reason with him and basically beg for my hard
earned money back. There were no threats what so ever. [redacted]’ threatening
accusations are just him grasping at straws to avoid sending my refund. I have
been extremely patient with [redacted] and S. Scanlon Contracting, to no
avail. It’s going on 5 months, with no refund check and no work done on my
home. It’s that simple. [redacted] doesn’t want his business affected, but yet will
not send a certified check, or money order with the full amount owed to **
[redacted] and resolve the issue.
**Note that today, July 18th, 2014  I successfully filed
suit in [redacted] Small claims court, and not surprisingly; [redacted] was a no
show to the court date.
The amount has now changed from 2500.00 to $2522.00 to
include court costs which I incurred this morning. Once the judgment is
finalized, the court will add interest as well, back dated from March 14,
2014.

I gave him yet another chance to do the right thing, and give the
refund through mediation, and once again, [redacted] of S. Scanlon
Contractors disappoints.
This issue will be resolved ONLY when I receive my refund via mailed
certified/cashiers check for $2522.00 , from [redacted],  or he is forced to do
so by way of legal action, now in process.   His choice.

Thank you for your time and service.
Regards,
[redacted]

Review: On March 14 , I hired S.Scanlon Contractors / [redacted] to repair my screen/sun room which had been damaged

in a snow storm the previous month.

He gave me an estimate of 7500, and a promise to begin work right away.

He ( [redacted]) asked for, and I gave him, a check for $2500.00 as a down-payment, which he took and immediately cashed.

Day after day passed and no communication from him.

I called many times - he said he submitted plans to town and they were holding it up.

However, when I called the town they said the plans he submitted were not up to code, and they notified him that

he needed to re-submit them.

When I tried to call him , there was no answer, unless I called from a phone other than my own.

( i.e. he would not pick up if he recognized the number )

It has NOW BEEN 3 MONTHS, and its apparent he does not intend to do, or is not capable of doing the work, and

does not intend to refund my deposit ( unless I take him to court which I am going to do )

Important that Revdex.com is aware of this business and their bad practices, so that :

1 - I can get my deposit back and

2 - So that others are forewarned and not stuck in the same position I am now.Desired Settlement: Complete refund of my 2500.00 deposit.
