S. Stewart's Excavation & Construction Ltd Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.
Regards,
[redacted]

Mr. [redacted], While we are sympathetic to the situation that you find yourself in, and I can understand your being frustrated, we unfortunately have no control over [redacted]'s actions with regards to your claim and only became aware of said claim when you submitted it to us. The Texas Department...

of Motor Vehicles's allotment of 90 days to resolve a claim is for good reason to allow the carrier to evaluate the situation fully, determine the validity of the claim, what parties are responsible and come to an appropriate resolution. With that said, this situation actually falls outside of the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles's jurisdiction, as this was neither a move involving a household goods shipment, nor were the goods actually transported.    Also, your claim was submitted on [redacted]-17, an acknowledgement letter was sent out on [redacted]17 (the next business day) and you had further correspondence from our claims manager on [redacted]-17 and [redacted]4-17. You indicated that you "filed a claim about 45 days ago and still no word." With respect, 45 days had elapsed from the receipt of your claim on [redacted]-18. When you initially submitted this complaint, not even a month had elapsed, and you had had multiple correspondences from our claims department. As it stands currently, our claims manager is awaiting a response to an email that he sent to you yesterday. I would request that you allow the claims process to work and bear in mind that, as referenced above, the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles allows a 90 day period to resolve a claim not to drag out the process but to ensure that claims are able to be settled fairly and equitably. While I understand your frustration that [redacted] did not evidently file the claim when you requested that they do so, I have no ability to influence their behavior and I request that you do not hold Blue Whale accountable for their actions, as that is clearly unreasonable.  Sincerely,[redacted]

We strive to execute all of our moves with zero damages, and unfortunately, damage is on some level an unavoidable part of the moving industry. When damages do occur, there is a process that needs to be followed in order to determine what happened, how it happened, and what the appropriate way to...

resolve the damage is. Unfortunately, this process does take time, which is why the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles allows up to 90 days after the receipt of a claim for the claim to be resolved. While we hope to resolve these matters as quickly as possible, there are certain processes that must run their course. We still intend to address this claim once we have gathered all of our information, which should be very soon. We regret that the damage has not and cannot be resolved immediately but are confident that that the resolution will be forthcoming.
