Review: S&T installed a marble floor in front of our fireplace and it cracked less than a few months after installation. We spoke to them about it and they would not replace it under warranty. After they viewed the marble, they claimed they were natural cracks, and it was not a warranty issue. This, we feel, is not a fair and good business practice. When we purchased the stove, fireplace mantle and marble base, we were told that any problems would be addressed ASAP. They did do repairs to the stove, more than once, but not the marble. After speaking with several floor and tile installers and reading on the net, a hard board should have been installed under the marble, not the marble on top of the sub-floor which is what they did. We f eel that improper installation is the cause of the cracks. The only hard pressure placed on the marble was done by the person that did the repairs to the stove.Desired Settlement: Marble must be re-done with new marble slab.
