RE: *** *** Complaint, BMW 323iDear Sir or Madam:Mr*** first brought his BMW for repairs on 8/26/with 172,miles.His concern was to pass a legitimate New York State Inspection after purchasing the car from anindividualAfter reviewing the car, it was explained to
him that the repairs needed wereextensive and time consumingHe was given an itemized estimate of the repairs, he agreed tothe work and we completed the repairsWhen he brought the car back to us for a broken hoseand no belt in January 2016, it was months later in which time he had driven over 4,miles.We gave him an estimate for the additional damage due to his continued driving without a beltand over heating the engineHe agreed and the work was completed.This car was involved in a prior front end collision which is responsible for the right frontheadlight and radiator damage he claims in his complaintMr, *** was also informed that'stop-leak' had been put in the engine to prevent the overheatingHe was shown all this and toldabout the internal engine damage due to his continuing to drive the car with the overheating issueand advised not to drive the carHe declined any additional work and drove the car awayThefinal repairs that were made to his car were done free of charge (a copy of these invoices areavailable upon request).We work with our customers on a daily basis to help them get back on the road as soon aspossibleThe overheating issue has nothing to do with the repairs we made and wholely do tohis own neglect in continuing to drive the car without a belt and broken water hoseThe car nowhas over 177,miles on itWe would be willing to work with Mr*** to complete theadditional repairs needed, if he so desires, and help whichever way we can with the pricing.Sincerely:Samir T***ST Foreign Auto
