make sure she was happy to do final touch up to make sure everything was perfect. While he was there he helped her with the pool heater in back yard, electrical in the front yard, and the drywall in the garage which was not part of the contract. Please note that there were 4 to 5 different contracts and the amount sent to me does not reflect them.

I am rejecting this response because:
I don't know what my hiring JR to do other jobs around my property has to do with my complaints about Steve's shoddy work. In my complaint I mentioned only the work I hired S&T Painting to do. Also, the work was NOT completed when we walked the property the day Anthony was there, and Anthony will attest to that fact. Yes, Steve did send JR to finish the work that I had ALREADY paid Steve to complete (was not finished yet or he wouldn't have sent JR to finish up the last of it), so he's not telling the truth about the work being finished during that walk-through. I never saw Steve again after that day, and when I called Steve as I discovered more and more mistakes, shoddy work, etc. and called Steve to come back and do it right (another point Steve made that is untrue), Steve sent JR to fix the issues. Steve also never paid JR, so I hired JR to do some other work and paid him myself. Steve Charrette deliberately deceived me about what was finished and what was not finished, and even went so far as to tell one of his employees "make sure she (I) doesn't see this," (regarding poor and unfinished work). He also said at another time to JR, "she didn't even see this one" laughing as he pulled out a loose brick after I paid him to secure all loose bricks around the property. Several of the paint jobs were never prepped correctly and had to be repainted
several times, which took a lot more time than it should have. It was
still mediocre work at best and I still had to do many touch-ups
myself. Steve and his crew also damaged my property because they locked themselves out of my house and kicked in a brand new door to get in and never told me about it. Then they used bondo to cover it up, which I didn't catch until they were long gone. There were so many things done wrong and when I asked Steve about it he told me that he wasn't going to give me any money back and that he was filing for bankruptcy so I couldn't get any money from him.I, too, have texts as well as pictures of what Steve considered "finished" work, that I later had to have redone by someone else for a second time, at my expense (in time as well as money out of pocket). Steve and his crew were also smoking marijuana on my property and when I caught on and told Steve to knock it off, he said, "Okay." I have been in construction most of my life in one capacity or another and I have never seen anything even close to the level of little to no pride in their work, lack of honesty and integrity, and lack of professionalism in my life. By the way, my complaints about Steve, his lack of accountability, shoddy work,
and poor attitude have nothing to do with the other contractor he
referred to me. That other contractor does sloppy work, and abandoned
the job, too. Separate companies, separate issues, similar
unprofessional work and lack of accountability. I've filed complaints
for both companies with the licensing board. People like this should not be in business where customers trust them as professionals.
