[redacted], Per your request we scheduled the spring cleanup, vegetation removal, topdressing and overseeding work to be completed on Friday 5/19.  The crew arrived promptly on site as promised, our lead Forman met with you and her parents and walked the property to review the work being...

performed.  During the mid-morning while clearing the vines and vegetation along the back fence in the rear of the property the crew discovered old bricks underneath the vegetation being removed, Your father asked the crew to remove the bricks which was not part of the estimated work and would take additional time. Following company protocol the crew foreman contacted the office to let them know of the additional work request and the office attempted to contact /reach you to let you know that bricks were uncovered and that your  father was asking for them to be removed. You did not immediacy respond and the crew proceeded to complete the other approved work as scheduled. Later in the day you responded to the messages left about the bricks, you  first accused us of dumping the bricks on the property and demanded we remove them. Our office staff explained that the bricks were buried under the vegetation and that we were following up with your fathers request to have them removed but could not do so without prior authorization from you. The office suggested that you take a look at the bricks that were uncovered, speak with your father and then let us know how you would like to proceed. On Monday 5/22, you called our office at approx. 6:30 AM, [redacted] the owner answered the call and you identified yourself that you were following up to the messages left by the office on Friday and before [redacted] could speak with you to discuss the bricks you told him we were fired, not to contact you and hung up the phone. Throughout the day Monday and Tuesday, you sent emails/faxes and texts telling us we were fired however had acknowledge that the bricks were existing and that you would pay the bill.  Because you had demanded repeatedly for us not to contact you any further we respected your wishes. This is the first time we are hearing about structural damage caused to your property. Previous communications did not mention this. We work very hard to communicate with clients to ensure the serveries are completed to a client's satisfaction, the proposal had specific services listed with time and material allocations, when the bricks were uncovered our crew and office followed standard procedure to notify you of the situation to get approval prior to any additional work being completed. We truly do not understand why you are upset with us and making the accusations about our company, we have not been able to communicate with you directly to get an explanation or been able to walk the site.  We are hopeful that you will contact us or allow us to contact you to have a conversation as to what went wrong to see if there is some way we can remedy the situation.  Thank you, [redacted]

Hello, I just wanted to add this and a little bit more of an explanation to the complaint received by [redacted]. Attached is a copy of the signed contract and a copy of the work order. Prior to completing the work we sent her seed instructions for properly watering her seed for it to germinate. Please see a copy of the seeding instructions as well. We went out to complete the work on the 19th. Prior to starting our supervisor walked the site with her and discussed what we would be doing. She left and went to work. Her parents were outside the entire time our guys were there watching them. They offered them drinks throughout the time and told them at the end they did a good job and thanked them. [redacted] was very upset that we did not remove the bricks and accused us at first of dumping them. If it was just a couple of bricks we would have taken them but it was 4-5 wheel barrel full of just what we could see. Some bricks were buried in the ground so this was not a quick task. We have several emails, texts, faxes, phone calls just saying “your fired” then hanging up, voicemails stating “your fired.” We do have voicemails stating the bricks were there and that she will pay. Then it turned into bad work and not being happy with it but we never got any chance to go out to the site and take a look and try to address the situation. Now it’s moved to us damaging the site. First we are unsure exactly what we damaged and she states it will cost 300 to fix it but hasn’t supported that. Her parents were outside the entire time. If you look on the work order to the crew they didn’t use any tools that could damage her property. We just cleaned up some vegetation, put soil down and seed that’s it. Seed does take time to germinate and needs to be watered. She doesn’t have an irrigation system so I am unsure if watering has been completed per the instructions sent to her. Often we do a follow up service to go back and seed areas that may not have taken well. We are up to 5 bad [redacted] reviews and threats to take further action but again we have no clue what we did wrong.  Please let me know if you need any additional information. To reach me direct you can call my cell phone at [redacted] Thank you,  [redacted]        Treasurer[redacted]
