Saba University School of Medicine

I spent 5 semesters at this horrible school. The bio lab is a mold box filled storage room that can’t even be used so we did experiments in our lecture hall. The profs are horrible, except the anatomy profs, who openly tell you that after their class none of the profs care about you. I do give credit to the anatomy profs as they put in so many out of class hours tutoring and reviewing with students. Dr. Kahn and Dr. Tom are amazing, kind and caring. Most of the PhD profs teach you like you are a doctoral student, not explaining the basics, leaving most to teach themselves or be lost in the first few lectures. The peer tutoring was more useful than the profs, at least you have some idea of what would be tested. I can not advise strongly enough to avoid this school, most of my class and the class I got rolled back into after needing to repeat classes failed before 4th semester. There is a reason they won’t tell you how many people pass out of the total class, it’s because the failure rate is atrocious. That is why they tout the 99% 1st time pass rate for step 1, and that is only because their exit exam (simulated Step 1 exam) is harder than the actual step 1 exam and they just added a bunch of shelf exams for pharm, path, and others before you take exit.

This school has failed to refund any of my refund from federal aide, and also moved me into an apartment where an ongoing murder investigation.This schools housing coordinator moved me into an apartment where there was an ongoing murder investigation. This made it impossible to concentrate as dutch officers were in my apartment sometimes until midnight. The school also has failed to issue my federal loan refund in time. The school also violated [redacted] regulations by contacting my landlord while I was living in the unit causing my landlord to throw me out in the street during the term. I have contacted the school many times regarding my refund and am also requesting a full refund given the extreme circumstances and [redacted] violations.Desired SettlementI would like my federal aide refund, as the tuition was [redacted] dollars, and I burrowed [redacted] dollars this school has kept my refund. I would also like a tuition refund pending the extremem circumstances I endured. I have given the school ample time to respond and they have failed to do so.
