On (/22/I requested a quote from Sabaru for repairs to my Saab specifically to repolace the front passenger side light, change oil & filter & replace the fuel filterThis repair came to approximately $I spoke with*** who emailed me the quoteThe work completed on 9/25/Additionaally on 9/25/14*** called to say that my transmission fluid was very dark & needed to be flushed & refilledI asked further about this as I had had it done in Pueblo yrs prior.*** said it is needed every 60k milesI had not driven 60k miles in that time but consented to the service given her descriptionUpon picking up my car I was told I needed the following as stated on the quote:
Replace rear struts $
new frount strut inserts $
alignment$
both front strut mounts$
labor service replace oil sender$
new oil pressure switch $
Labor service remove & replace front brake pads rotors & serviced calipers
front brake rotor $
brake pad set$$
Labor oil pan reseal$
o ring pump pick up $
o ring pick up $
with the supply charge & tax the total was$
On 10/15/I called Sabaru again & got***I was reviewing the quote prepared on 9/25/for additional services neededSpecifically I said I had to plan ahead to pay for these services just as I had done on my initial visitThus I was seeking to know the cost of just the repair to the oil pan reseal & oil pump senderShe told me that whoever did the orginal quote did it inaccurately as the labor charges were too low by about $10/hourThis concerned me at the time but since I have a Saab I wanted repair people who were familar with this car When I received this quote for only the oil pan & oil sender it showed the "new" cost for repairs for just this service but retotaled the whole quote total for all service recommended I thought that odd since it did not show or list the other services recommendedI sat with this for a few days before calling Sabaru again to schedule a date for oil pan & sender repairsI was also asking to have to front brake reapir added in as I had saved enough I believed to cover both repairs knowing even that the numbers were higher but not how muchI got*** again & told her what I was seekingShe placed me on hold to get the brake repairs quote for me so we could add the total sumWhile on hold *** answered*** had prepared the oil pan & sender quote for me which was sent on 10/15/I tried to explain to *** what I needed as the "numbers had changed much to my dismay"He explained that he packed those quotes & the "girls" had gotten them wrongI told him the explaination I was provided was different but leet's proceed as I wanted to get this work doneUnfortunately for *** & me, he was talking to me on the phone & many others around him at the same timeI tried to explain as he asked if I needed the oil pan quoteI told him no...this through him answering othersI suggested to *** that he call me back when he had the time as I wasn't feeling like a valued customer & that I had questions already since the numbers he provided keeps changingI said good bye & hung up though he was still talking...to whom I can't say for sure Less than a minute later *** called back now saying "This is ***" He was angry & basically said he was placing me on his "Provide No Service List" & would not take further calls from meI responded to him that it's only courtesy to speak with someone uninterrupted..he was the problemI asked to speak to someone in charge & he told me he was it..the GMI then asked to speak with the owner which he said he was oneSO I asked to speak with *** whom I had been introduced to as the ownerevidently he's on vacationI will call & speak with him upon his return as he seems to be the only reasonable person there
*** seems overwhelmedHe is in charge of the numbers/costs for service & repair as he told meYet why I called was to get a number & a service dateHe missed the latter point either because he was talking over me which was a considerably part of the "conversation"....or attempting to explain to error in the original quoteI got it..an error but as he continued & as this has ended up, I see perhaps there was more to his concern about the quote errorSo in trying to get the brake service cost added to my oil service costs, all I got was a continued run aroundOn top of that extremely rude behavior was what else I got from this "manager" / "owner'These folks are reportedly Revdex.com members & have served this community for double digit yearsSeriously, I would expect more leadership given this alleged reputation I would expect a better example to the staff at Sabaru of how to have handled this situation So for asking for accountability, for asking for an uninterrupted conversation, for asking for an apointment I am now on the "DO NOT SERVICE" listReally? What do I want as a solution? Well let's seeI no longer have trust in the service, the need for all services outlined, let alone the numbersI can't count on an experience that would be pleasantHummmAn apology..in writing from ***Also I want to meet with *** at his convenience upon his return from vacation as a way of his acknowledging that this happenedYou know people can have bad days; perhaps the was one for *** Its one thing to be talked over, treated rudly, misquoted, blown off and other wise told to go to hell from an employee, quite another from an owner
