Review: I had dropped a car off in May 2013 after being pressured it had to be there that particular day that he had not scheduled work being he thought my car was going to be there. I dropped the car 2 hours after they opened and told them I wanted a price that it wasnt an open check. I was told a lower end job would be 6000.00 and a high end 10000.00 I said lets meet in the middle at 8000.00 I had visited the business numerous times over the summer and not once was I told the price was exceeding the agreed price. the car was here for 3 1/2 months and I received a call to come get my car it was done bring 11500.00 the bill went up almost 44% with no phone calls or a word said when I was there in person. the car was spotless when it was dropped off and I received it back filthy with thousands in damage. the dash in the car was destroyed and they tried to hide the damage with a magic marker but told me it was fixed and was perfect when I questioned it on the phone. the extra fee I was told was because of the door panel linkage and took extra time. when I dropped the car off I informed the owner that the manufacturer did not recommend the metal rods to use a cable system, I asked if I should locate the cables but was told no he would take care of it but never did. instead I received a hack job and couldnt get in the car the following day I had to climb in the passenger side. I have since fixed the door linkage myself with cables like they were to use. when I took the door apart I saw how bad the work was that was done, drywall screws holding things together, missing screws, cut wires, bare wires, one speaker did not work after I was told they did. the steering column and numerous other areas are all scratched up from the carpet backing during the install. not once did I see any paint being protected while working on the car. the wiring job was a fire hazard and the owner was showed the power point where to wire the seats but ignored that also and started to cut and hack into the wiring thats brand new and very clean, I have since removed all the bad work and have to start all over. all photos are being saved to give to my attorney. the inside of the doors were full of garbage such as screws, metal shavings, the metal from drilling holes for the handle etc that will cause rust and rattles. the entire interior needs to be taken out and done over, maybe some can be used over but very little. the carpet has a hole where the seats were drilled in the wrong place so that is no longer a good 1 piece carpet. the windshield has to be cut out to refinish the dash along with all the electronics, the steering column has to be sent back to IDIDIT to be re powder coated. the binding on both doors has to be done over. the stitching is not in a straight line from the upper back seat to the seat bottom and console, the entire dash pad is destroyed and had to be replaced. the a-pillar posts were never done in leather nor the visors like we discussed instead the old ripped parts were put back.Desired Settlement: 6500.00
