Sac-Val Plumbing Reviews (2)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This does not resolve my complaint because 1) it does not state that he does not require further payment 2) many of the things he has stated are lies which can proven if I need to get an attorney 3) he has approached my current contractors to tell them that I am "crazy" and did not pay him for his work They defended me to him personally because they have seen how his work was incomplete, done poorly, etc They will testify to this if necessary, as well They told me that he was very unprofessional, and very inappropriate in his disparaging remarks One of the contractors suggested I obtain a restraining order Matt DeRose had no reason to be in front of my home This occurred this Monday, January 23.My concerns have deepened I need advice moving forward I am installing a security system and if I need to get an attorney, I will, but I don't want to because of the additional expense There is another contractor (pest control) who had witnessed strange behavior on Matt DeRose's part when they were both in my home It was the owner of the company, *** and he is also willing to provide his testimony regarding his concerns for me.[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]

January 20, 2017[redacted]Revdex.com Serving Southern Ohio1 E. 4th, Suite 600Cincinnati, Ohio 45202Dear [redacted], thank you for the opportunity to speak on behalf of your organization and the good that you do for the community.  As it pains me to have any client in a state of dissatisfaction to a...

point where they feel the need to contact you, it pains me more to know that great work was provided and no compensation was provided for services rendered.   I met with [redacted] at her house on 10/4/2016 and discussed a project that included resurfacing all the walls in the living room dining room, start resurfacing walls going upstairs and repair the ceiling in the 2nd floor office.  She was verbally given my rate at the time.  I only work on an hourly basis on these old homes as is the case with my other client I served simultaneously while serving [redacted].  It was explained to her at the time that she was my 2nd in line to be served client and that if the weather was bad and I could not paint for my first client that [redacted] would be served.  After all, she approached me in the parking lot of my 1st clients business after querying her.  She said she was on a budget and I said she could stop at any time.    Her boyfriend [redacted], at the time, said don’t worry about payment.Project one was completed on the 4th of November.  It included multiple coats of plaster, fiberglass tape, sanding priming and painting of all the living room walls and dining room walls.  2 coats of mud stairwell and repair to the office ceiling and upstairs hallway walls.   This also included installing a hanging basket over the front railing. It was determined that the slightly lighter color paint was applied in error to the living room, however, everyone, especially [redacted] agreed that the color was better than her original choice.  I was paid for my time.On 11/17/2016 [redacted] contacted me and said the bathtub had leaked into her son’s bedroom and it was wet and [redacted] stained. She said that she knew I was busy with my other client.  I then replied back on 11/21/2016 that we would be over that day.  We agreed to start the next week and repair the ceiling and look for the leak to isolate the time the plumber may be needed to repair the leak. Demolished the four foot by four foot bad drywall in son’s room.   Cut out, with permission, panel in bathroom drywall to exposed plumbing behind tub.   Leak found in vent tube as part of the jacuzzi tub.  Determined to be multiple rodent bites searching for water. Replaced simple 2 ft tubing and clamp with vent cap.   No plumbing requiring a licensed plumber was necessary to repair this leak.  She was happy I had saved her a plumber having to come in and this is the first I have heard of any code violation accusation of any kind.  I would challenge this accusation as false and malicious.  Ceiling repaired using 2 coats of plaster and 1 wet plaster.  Repair access panel in bathroom and apply plaster repair to third floor skylight and walls. No electrical devices were handled in this project.   She was warned not to fill her tub while rats were still loose in her house. The front door had 4 hours of labor to remove old insulation and apply new insulation and a missing latch for the deadbolt.  The door closed fine. This is the first time I have heard it was a problem.  I was told that everything was fine and she would drop a check by my house and she did on 12/3/2016.  These checks totaled $3395.00 for the two periods of hourly rate work.   On 12/5/2016 she wanted to talk about cost moving forward.  Agreed to start back on 12/8/2016.  She stated would get paint from [redacted].  I was given 40 dollars in cash on 12/9/2016 to buy drywall and mud for the repair of her room wall that required ten small pieces of drywall three coats mud priming and painting.   The supplies also went to mud lower and upper stairwell and skylight additional coats.  This included coating 2 walls in the library and the library ceiling.  It included patching two sided of a door on the second floor and priming the door.  Included a full day of sanding all the surfaces from the front foyer to the third floor hallway.   On Tuesday the 13, [redacted] contacted me at ten after ten in the morning and told us she was coming home sick and we would have to leave.  Put in a bind, with my vacuum 5 minutes away I used her bag less vacuum to ensure she would not have to see any mess. Until now you have not been told that the vacuum was washed out completely the next day.  By Friday the 16th, everything was painted except for a few walls in the foyer that I could have circumvented repairing and just painted but I could not finish this due to being kicked out on Tuesday.  She stated Friday morning that she was out of checks and would pay us in cash if that was ok.  We said that would be fine.  I texted her the charges just as I had before.   She asked for an explanation of the charges and it was texted to her.  She stated she was blindsided by my bill and did not have the time to discuss.  Then she states, after two pieces of business, that she does not know my rates.  She was provided a complete explanation with rates on all services provided.  She also texts that she is way over budget and needs to stop until January.  I ask her if she will cover any of the bill and she states that she was never made aware of expectation of payment one day after she says asks if we will accept cash.  She states that she has paid enough for the services she received and the materials she has purchased.  All of my clients pay for all materials.  I repeat [redacted] in quotes “what I have paid you for services rendered is more than sufficient.”
