I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Mr. [redacted]'s response and fabricated statements and recounting of events leave me no alternative than to seek recourse through legal channels. In addition, Mr. [redacted] would appear to have libeled me with his statement that I've made terrorist threats to him and/or his employees and his company. This is absolutely untrue and I will immediately be engaging legal counsel to file a civil suit against Mr. [redacted].]

Re. 914To whom it may concernMr. [redacted] brought his Porsche 914 to our shop requesting that previous workmanship be cleaned up a bit.1. The car had been in a previous accident and had been poorly repaired both in the front area and the rear.2. Mr. [redacted] was made aware that the rear body...
panel had been installed incorrectly and there was rust that could only be corrected by replacing rear body panel and floor.3. Mr. [redacted] insisted that all he wanted was the area cleaned up and painted so it would look better we agreed to do it with no warranty on the workmanship that had been done before. He knew that this would only be a temporary fix; but this was ok with him,since he stated that he was going to restore the car at a later time.4. The work was performed with no problems to the front of the car area but in the rear the paint kept peeing in minor areas. We tried to determine if it was a problem of preparation or paint, but that was not the case because we had no problems in the front. After exhausting all of the possibilities ( heat from exhaust , bad prep etc...) we decided to strip the area to bare metal and found rust in the metal and that was the problem. All of this was at no cost to Mr. [redacted].5. We have been in business for over 30 years, we understand paint and primer applications and try to educate our customers the best that we can.6. Mr. [redacted] seems to have his own expert ideas and it makes it hard to communicate.7. We have always been here and willing to go above and beyond for our customers, but some people you just can't please, no matter how hard you try.8. We offered to refund the 5 hours of labor costs needed to repair the rear of the car,( at the discounted rate that we had given him when we did the initial work.) this came to a total of $260.00 dollars. This was only because I was trying to work with him and make him happy not because our repairs were incorrect.9. This all stopped when Mr. [redacted] made terrorist threats to us and our company via email.I hope this clarifies his absurd complaint regarding our repairs but we simply can't warrantee previous work done by other shops.Best regards,[redacted]
