Sacramento Auto Depot Reviews (3)

Review: I purchased a truck through Sacramento truck depot. 2 days after I got the truck and signed all the financial paperwork, I got a call from Sac Truck depot that told me to come to the shop because they would be able to Finance through a different bank and save me some money ("The truck you purchased was 10000$ and the financing we can get you will make it $6999"- exact words of salesman from phone call") When I got to the dealership I was informed that the truck I was sold was a salvage title and not a clean title as advertised. As I could no longer keep the truck I had purchased previously they told me I could buy a newer ranger ( that was priced at $13000, they wouldn't even give me a straight trade!) which would increase my monthly payment from $240 to $320, Intrest rate from 6% to 10%, and term from 48 months to 60 months. The other option was to have my money refunded and as I had no other method of transport I needed a truck and they knew it and at 6:30 on a Thursday night there is no time to find a car. I feel manipulated and used, I now have a truck which is not the model I wanted and at a rate that is outrageous. This is a terrible place to buy a vehicle from.Desired Settlement: I would like my payments, interest, and term to be what they were with the original truck. If this means a different truck so be it, but I am paying far too much right now

Response to complaint number [redacted] To whom it may concern: On June 12, 2016 Mr. [redacted] purchased the following vehicle from Sac Truck Depot: 2005 [redacted] Ranger 4WD VIN #:[redacted] Mileage: 102,454 Purchase Price: $9999.00 Down Payment: $1000 Interest Rate: 9.99% Term: 60month Monthly Payment: $232.42. A few days later it was brought to our attention that the above-described vehicle had a salvaged title and therefore could not be financed with a bank. Mr. [redacted] was contacted about the situation and was given the following options: Contract was to be canceled and the down payment fully refundedCustomer to be switched on a newer [redacted] Ranger with a clean title. After analyzing his options he decided to go with the second option. On June 16, 2016 Mr [redacted] purchased the following vehicle from Sac Truck Depot: 2006 [redacted] Ranger 2WD VIN#: [redacted] Mileage: 64,968. Purchase Price: $13999.00 Down Payment: $1000.00 Interest Rate: 9.99% Term: 60 month Monthly Payment: $321.00 Mr. [redacted] is a smart and wise 22 years old electrician who is capable of making a smart decision on his own. He was not forced, he was not tricked, and he certainly was not manipulated to purchase a vehicle from us. He was given the option to get his down payment back and walk away but he decided to purchase a vehicle. After the transaction Mr. [redacted] became hostile, rude, and abusive. He started harassing our sales staff and disturbed our business at that moment we asked him to leave the premises. But the harassment didn’t stop the next day he called our sales person on his personal phone and continued his harassment. Thank you very much for your time

Review: Purchased vehichle 9-10-15, picked up vehichle 9-12-15. Folowing day truck went dead. Battery tested good. Went to dealership which found both battery cables bad, motor mount broke, oil pan gasket leaking, lower ball joints bad, left rear differential broke, both back shocks with holes in them. The dealer said this is a safety issue, the vehichle could of went dead while driving. I don't believe a safety inspection was done on vehichle. This vehichle is not safe to drive as is.Desired Settlement: I would like the dealer to go in half of costs for repair. I gave them a copy of repairs and cost.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:the warranty company refused to pay for repairs as can be confirmed by contacting them. AUL stated these problems were long standing and they could not fix the vehicle and the dealer should of taken care of these during a safety inspection. Yes, the warranty was canceled due to them refusing to pay for repairs. Again, all I'm asking is dealer to pay half.

Review: when purchasing the vehicle on 4/19/2015 which is Sunday, we noticed some issues with the car such as the right side view mirror does not fold down, the blind zone alert system sensors do not work and a missing original GPS CD. I noticed this before taking the car home and the dealership said they would fix it all I had to do was bring it in the next day which I did and they told me they would talk to the last owner of the vehicle which said if I bought the part needed, the dealership would fix it themselves. I told them that I didn't need to pay for anything since they told me that car was certified. I went back like 6-7 times and they kept saying they would fix it for me all I had to do was leave the vehicle so they could work on it for a day and a half but they did nothing when I took it the final time which all they did was cuss at me. The other issue was with the copy of the GPS CD. They gave me a copy on the day I bought the vehicle which when we tried it out, it didn't work. they then told me they would order a new original CD and mail it to me, which they also never did. the 3rd of 4th time I went, they still tried to give me a copy of the CD and continued to cuss at me. The blind zone alert system lights on both side view mirrors also do not work which they also said they would fix and have not. Also, when I purchased the car, it only had a license plate on the rear bumper and I paid DMV fees and have not received the other license plate. the car also is leaking some oil in the rear end.I tried in good faith to resolve these problems with them, but every time I went to talk to the guy in charge, which is the person who sold the car to me, its like hes hiding because employees always say he isn't there.Desired Settlement: I would like them to fix my side view mirrors so that the right side folds down, fix the blind spot sensors, get my missing license plate, fix the small leak on the rear end, and give me the original GPS CD. If they deny doing this, I would like to return the vehicle without paying any fees.

Response:

Sacramento Truck Depot has been nothing but professional with Mr. [redacted]. When he purchased the vehicle he did so "AS IS" there is proof on the paperwork that states so. On the "DUE BILL" Mr. [redacted] acceoted the vehicle as is with no work being promised. His signature along with the acting manager's is on that document. Mr. [redacted] also signed the "law form 676" accepting the vehicle "AS IS" which clearly states that; 1. The vehicle is being sold on an "AS IS" basis. 2. The entire risk as to the quality and performance of this vehicle is with the buyer. 3. Should this vehicle be defective following buyer's purchase, the BUYER and not the dealer, assumes the ENTIRE COST OF ALL NECESSARY SERVICING OR REPAIRS. According to all the documets that Mr. [redacted] signed by taking possesion of the vehicle and signing all documents "AS IS" Mr. [redacted] approved of the vehicle in the state that it was in. Copies of all documents signed by Mr. [redacted] have been submitted to show proof.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: sac truck depot promised to fix the things wrong with the escalade. They gave me two days to return the car and since they told me they would fix it the next day after I purchased and all they did was tell me to come back every time I went to come back the next day. They told me lies and that I had to deal with the previous owner of the car to come to some sort of agreement when I have nothing to talk about to the previous owner since sac truck depot is the vendor at the moment. They lied about fixing the car, I completely understand that I took the car as is but they told me they'd fix the things wrong with the car and never did. They made the days pass so that I wouldn't be able to return the car in the allotted time of 2 days and I didn't want to waste more money. Repeatedly I went to have them fix the car and the same response of "come back tomorrow" was said. They were unprofessional and cussed at me and by the last times of me going, the manager would not come see me as well as the employees saying he wasn't there.
