Since the price quote of $600 was made during a phone conversation with W&R Air Conditioning (and the work was to be done at 2:00PM on the same date as the price quote was given), and since I do not have the capacity to record phone conversations, I cannot document the fact that $600 was the agreed upon cost. I assumed I was dealing with a reputable company, and that the verbal commitment of a representative of that company was valid and binding.

I am rejecting this response because: the proposal by W&R Air Conditioning, dated 12/18/15, is more than 40% higher than the price quoted  to me on October 27, 2015. On that date the person I spoke to at W&R Air Conditioning told me the repair of my air conditioning unit would cost $600. When I asked if that price included all parts and their installation, he replied yes, that would be the complete cost. He also said someone would come to my home at 2:00pm to complete the repair. A proposal of $1015 plus tax does not honor the commitment W&R Air Conditioning made to me on October 27th.
