Sacred Heart Hospice

In the fall of 2014 my family utilized the services offered by Sacred Heart Hospice of Arizona. We were in the midst of the final days with my dad and needed to call in hospice services. After a very negative experience in contacting a large hospice entity in Arizona, we searched for another option. That is when we came across Sacred Heart Hospice. Within a half-hour of the initial phone call, a Sacred Heart Hospice person was at our door! The compassion demonstrated by the woman from Sacred Heart was so genuine. She patiently met with my mother, my brother and myself asking the questions she needed to. She graciously answered the myriad of questions that my mother and brother asked. Not once did the hospice worker bring up payment during the conversation. It wasn't until the very end, after listening to my family was payment discussed. It was brought up and agreed upon in a very non-threatening, non-intrusive way. When you are in the midst of making decision of this kind, that last thing on your mind is payment due. Sacred Heart's people did not approach us with "hand out - expecting/demanding payment." Instead they approached us with grace, mercy, compassion, love, empathy and support. A HUGE difference than the other hospice "machine" that is in Arizona!

When it came time to call on them because the end of life for my father was so very near, the Sacred Heart worker came, entered the home, did her due diligence in making sure that life had ended and helped us through the next steps. The whole experience with Sacred Heart was so special. They are in the business for the right reasons - to walk families, friends and loved ones through the very difficult end of life stage. They did not come in to our situation with a lot of pomp and circumstance. Instead, they came alongside of our family and loved us through a difficult time and provided us with care beyond measure!

I would definitely highly recommend Sacred Heart Hospice for the work in this field. For me, they stand head and shoulders above any other hospice entity in Arizona. Their staff is top notch, their approach to families is full of care and concern, their servants heart definitely shows through.
