Review: saddle river advertises $36 ride from [redacted] upon arrival, we were denied our $25 play money. theft by deception!Desired Settlement: 2x $25 = $50

Review: I was told by Saddle River Tours Dispatch that their bus was departing from [redacted] at 9:45 P.M. for their return trip to North Jersey on a Sunday. When I arrived at [redacted] bus depot their dispatch told me the bus departed at 9:25 P. M.. I then had to take 2-other carriers to get home. [redacted] bus line to NYC and a cab to [redacted] my home residence. My out of pocket expense was $36 for [redacted] and $80 for the cab.I sent a letter to Saddle River Tours explaining what happened and attached my unused bus SR ticket, [redacted] bus receipt and cab receipt. I made several phone attempts with SRT customer service and they keep saying some one will contact me soon but I never get a reply! I'm just getting jerked around.Desired Settlement: Compensation for my additional expenses and inconvenience

Review: On Thursday 4/23/2015, I was waiting to board a bus to [redacted] in [redacted], NJ. I had confirmed that there was a bus scheduled to arrive at 30-08 Broadway, [redacted], NJ to be taken to [redacted], NJ. I was dropped off by a co-worker at 5:10pm. Around 5:30pm another passenger arrived and we were both waiting for the bus now. The AC bus was to arrive around 6:00pm. The bus never showed up. At around 6:20 I called my husband to call (he drove to A.C. a day before since I was not able to take off of work on that day). When he called, he was informed that the driver was late by 25 mins. So the other customer and I waited an additional 30 mins. At around 6:50pm, I called Saddle River Tours dispatch and was informed that the driver was on the Parkway ramp to 46. When asked why the bus had not stopped in [redacted], I was given the run around.

I had to wait to get a ride from someone so they could bring me back home. From home, I called Dispatch again and was informed that I could take the 12:10pm A.C. bus from [redacted] in [redacted] (B6). When I looked at the bus schedule for Saddle River Tours it stated that there was an 8:20a.m bus (B2) as well at that same location. So I called them back where they informed me that the 8:20a.m. bus was not running on Friday 4/24/2015 to take the 12:10pm.

I took the 167 bus to [redacted] to go to the [redacted] location. The owner at the deli informed me that the bus came at 8:20a.m. and that there was no bus at 12:10pm. I called dispatch and spoke to [redacted] whom said he would get in touch with the driver to see where he was at and he would call me back. That was around 11:50a.m. [redacted] asked if I could go to [redacted] Avenue in [redacted] and that the driver would wait for me. I said there was no way I could get there since I had just taken a bus to get me to the Bergen field location and I had no idea how to get to the other location especially by 12pm. [redacted] said he would call me back. Ten minutes later, he calls and apologizes because the driver told him that he was not going to come to the [redacted] stop since the police had told him he would be getting a ticket if he would pick up passengers at that location and that the driver was going to be suspended. So again, yet another bus that was scheduled was not coming.

I spoke to [redacted] and let him know of my situation Thursday night where the bus driver did not pick up passengers in [redacted] and now there was another bus driver saying that he wasn’t going to come to the [redacted] pick up location. I asked how come the driver’s decided what stops not to go to and yet the schedule was still the same and this was misleading to the customers. I asked him what type of operation was being run there and he hung up the phone.Desired Settlement: I would like to get reimbursed for the following:

$245.00 for taking a day off to go to A.C. form work and not being able to because the bus was not there

$40.00 bus ticket purchase that was not used due to the bus not arriving in [redacted] on 4/23 or [redacted] on 4/24

$128.00 for 4 hours of my time wasted waiting for buses that did not show and getting to and from those areas

$3.00 bus #167 from New Milford to [redacted]

$3.00 bus #186 from [redacted] to Dumont

$3.00 bus #772 from Dumont to New Milford

TOTAL: $426.00
