SAE Machining

We rec'd an estimate, paid 50% up front and dropped a truck off to have an engine installed on 9/20/18. We called to check in several times and engine install had not been completed

Eric S of sae machining has had my car for over 4 months for a repair that takes less than one month.. He has no legitimate reasons why and has even admitted to taking vacation and having personal days as excuses why he has not completed the engine rebuild.. The length of time has put my family under severe unforseen emotional and financial troubles that would never have been faced if it was not for this man's lies

Eric Stanfield (owner) of SAE Machining out of *** Indiana put a rebuilt Engine in my 2002 Jeep's liberty in February of 2016. I paid $3733.66 for the engine to be put in, which included a three year warranty. During March 2017 the engine blew while on a family vacation in ***. I had the jeep towed to *** in ***, ***. The mechanic there said without digging into it and voiding our warranty with Mr. Stanfield, he was confident just in looking at the work done that things weren't done correctly. I contacted Mr Stanfield and let him know that I would be paying to have the Jeep towed all the way from *** to ***, Indiana to be fixed under warranty. He agreed: I was able to pay for the Jeep to be towed and it arrived at Mr. stanfields shop in August 2017. Each month we are given a new story as to why he hasn't touched my Jeep yet and why the engine has not been fixed. And each month we are given a new completion date. We hear "it will be finished this week," "it will be finished next week tuesday"..etc. etc. We finally told him he had until Christmas for the Jeep to be finished and he promised it would be done. Well here we are, no Jeep. From the first time he originally took my Jeep for the Engine rebuild and time recent time- he has had my Jeep in his possession for a year. He has left me with two children and no vehicle. I have had to waste money renting vehicles and finally decided I had no choice other than spending money on a Honda Civic to get by until my Jeep was finished. He has lied countless times and I am beginning to wonder if he has plans of holding onto my Jeep until the warranty is up.
