I am writing to respond to Hooman Safavi's response.MrSafavi's response to my complaint clearly validates my need to file a complaint regarding his business of Paul Mitchell Institute Partnership School.1) Regarding his statement that I need to understand that they are a school suggests that he has little knowledge or understanding regarding my complaint. If Mr Safavi would have interviewed the Supervisor she would have educated him about our conversation regarding my knowledge of (Paul Mitchell Partnership) Institutes/Schools.I had informed the Supervisor regarding my patronizing the Paul Mitchell Sherman Oaks Insitute/School for approximately eight yearsThe Supervisor informed methat she was familiar with the Paul Mitchell Sherman Oaks School as she once visited it to get an idea as to that school was sand run.I have clear knowledge that the Paul Mitchell Institute is a learning institution.2) Regarding the Manager's informing me regarding the cost of the second bowl of hair color is where my questioning having to pay additional money for the slop joboriginally done on my hairPlease note that Mr Safavi's statement regarding having a representative try to contact me prior to my letter of complaint is falseI took the route of filing my complaintwith the Revdex.com after telephone two messages were leftI have telephone records to verify thisI did receive a telephone message from the supervisor *after* my filing a complaintoffering to refund some of my money however I demand a *full* refund

Our institution received a complaint through your company from a former student of ours by the name of [redacted] who was expelled. Miss [redacted] was expelled for non-compliance with our rules and regulations....

[redacted] started school 10/5/15 with the knowledge that excessive tardiness is not expectable; she was coached 4 times for being tardy the short amount of time she was attending . Also, she was coached for not complying with the dress code policy. Miss [redacted] teacher did also make a complaint to management that Sonya had gone into class and malicious gossiped numerous times making it hard to teach her class which is also a violation of our rules and policies. During the first phase of school we monitor our new students closely to make sure our program and rules can be followed when we see that from the beginning a student cannot follow the basic rules we look at terminating enrollment. The meeting that was held which Miss [redacted] speaks of in her complaint we gave her simple instructions to go home and the next day when she was calmed down we would speak of the situation and game plan how we can assist her; instead of following instruction she went back into the classroom and at that time the school director pulled her back into the office to move forward with expulsion. If you have any questions or would like a copy of the coaching sessions she has signed as well as a copy of the contract/catalog that includes the rules and regulations we would be more then happy to provide those.

First off, Please know that we are a school not a salon, therefore please understand that our clients are receiving services from students in training and although they are being overseen by their Learning Leaders (Teachers), as stated in our waiver that [redacted] signed, clients must understand that their service may take longer than an average service given at a salon.

Please be aware that during [redacted]'s mentioned visit to our school our Sales Leader [redacted] offered [redacted] to have 1 bowl of color comped for her convenience, However after her first 2 ounces she was informed that she would have to pay our normal fee of $8.00 per additional bowl. After informing [redacted] of this she then became increasingly upset about this and asked to see our waiver. My Sales Leader then pulled her ticket and showed her the disclaimer that she signed and where it states: "We are not financially responsible for any damage to her or her personal belongings." At this time she abruptly continued to speak over my Sales Leader and was extremely loud and belligerent to our students. Even causing one of our students to almost drop her program due to her rude behavior. Because of [redacted]'s behavior we had no choice but to have our security guard escort her out. In addition, after [redacted] left she called our school once and hung up, she then attempted to call second time where my Sales Leader answered the phone and [redacted] proceeded to request our corporate office's number.
Please note that prior to receiving your letter We made a first attempt on 08-10-2014 to contact [redacted] to offer her a refund.
In a second attempt to call [redacted], My Education leader [redacted] left another message on the evening of 08/20/14 at 6:40 pm. At this time we informed her that we would be more than happy to issue her a refund but we would need her credit card information. We let her know that she can come in personally to get the refund or call anytime during our hours of 9:00am- 10:00pm and either one of our sales leaders, [redacted] before2:00pm and [redacted] from 2:00pm to 10:00pm would love to get this resolved. We also informed her that our Education leader [redacted] was stepping out of the school this evening and would be back tomorrow at 8:00am the next morning. My Education Leader provided her email address just in case emailing is a better form of communication for her. Our Education Leader also stated that she would give her a call tomorrow 08/21/2014 to check in with her just to make sure she is taken care of. We provided her with the number for the school as well.

Review: I moved to Modesto in February 2014 and decided to try out the services at Paul Mitchell Institute as I had received good services from Paul Mitchell Institute in Sherman Oaks, CA for approximately 8 years. I have experienced more problems with the Paul Mitchell School in Modesto than in the many years I went to the school in Sherman Oaks. In the limited number of times I went to Paul Mitchell Modesto, here are some of the issues I had at different visits 1) My clothing got completely soaked while my hair was being washed and they had to put my dress in the dryer. The supervisor took over washing and styling my hair 2) On two occasions hair color got onto my clothing, the second time the back of my blue dress had brown hair color on it and the two students working on my hair used some kind of chemical to remove the color which bleached my dress. I only learned of this when I went home and saw the back of my dress 3) On two occasions my hair color service did not take. I went back to the school the first time and was informed they wouldn't redo my hair as I should have returned in 7 days (instead of 11 days). The second time I returned within 7 days and was given an appointment for July 22, 2014 for the redo. When I returned, I was informed by the manager I would have to pay an extra $8.00 if I needed an "extra 2oz" of hair color, she apprised this was the policy of the Institute. The manager offered to show this to me in writing and brought out a blank copy of the school's contract which did not mention the extra $8 charge, I pointed this out. At that point the manager decided to kick me out of the school. As I was walking half way to the exit door, she called for security to escort me out. I am 4"10 and was simply walking quietly towards the door. I have two masters degrees and am not a wild person.Prior to this I had paid $125 for a series of facials, I called and spoke with a supervisor, requested a refund. She was supposed to call back but never did. I have left 2 messages.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a refund for $125 plus the cost of the hair color service of approximately $28.

Response:

I am writing to respond to Hooman Safavi's response.

Mr. Safavi's response to my complaint clearly validates my need to file a complaint regarding his business of Paul Mitchell Institute Partnership School.

1) Regarding his statement that I need to understand that they are a school suggests that he has little knowledge or understanding regarding my complaint.

If Mr Safavi would have interviewed the Supervisor she would have educated him about our conversation regarding my knowledge of (Paul Mitchell Partnership) Institutes/Schools.

I had informed the Supervisor regarding my patronizing the Paul Mitchell Sherman Oaks Insitute/School for approximately eight years. The Supervisor informed me

that she was familiar with the Paul Mitchell Sherman Oaks School as she once visited it to get an idea as to that school was set-up and run.

I have clear knowledge that the Paul Mitchell Institute is a learning institution.

2) Regarding the Manager's informing me regarding the cost of the second bowl of hair color is where my questioning having to pay additional money for the slop job

originally done on my hair.

3. Please note that Mr Safavi's statement regarding having a representative try to contact me prior to my letter of complaint is false. I took the route of filing my complaint

with the Revdex.com after telephone two messages were left. I have telephone records to verify this. I did receive a telephone message from the supervisor *after* my filing a complaint

offering to refund some of my money however I demand a *full* refund.

I went in for services to get my hair dyed with weaved color. I do understand they are all students their. I knew my hair would not have came out perfect. But I would expect the learning leaders to be paying attention more to their students. I was their from 10-5. And towards the end they wanted to rush me and the student out so everyone can leave. They did not leave the dye in long enoug. So I have two different colors in my hair not the ones I wanted. I said ok I will come back next week and have them fix my hair. But now they still want me to pay for more product to put in my hair when it was their mistake in the first place. I do not blame the students at all. They are their to learn. I Blame the teachers. I really think they gave the student the wrong directions on what to do with my hair.

Review: I was formerly a student at Safavi institute and had a horrible time there with the staff so after (if u remember correctly) 6months I resigned. It has almost been a year since I left there and the Financial Aid lady, [redacted], refuses to give me my exit paperwork and official transcripts. I have already went twice from stockton to modesto to see if she can help me and each time she says shes too busy and she doesnt have time. Not only that but once I came the receptionist took me to her office which has all glass walls and [redacted] made me get out while she spoke with her and was slamming her hands on the desk telling the receptionist how busy she was. The receptionist said that [redacted] will fax or email my paperwork to me the same day and that she will call my cell once she faxes it off. This was months ago and I NEVER received a call or anything. I called them again today on 1/23/14 and The receptionist put me on hold and told me she was not in today so I told her I want to speak with the owner of the school or someone who is above [redacted] and Ray the director of the school said he will help me and speak with [redacted] to see what is going on and she was in fact there she was just busy with an audit. All I wanted/NEED is my paperwork so that I can move along and start a real college elsewhere.Desired Settlement: I want my official transcripts ASAP as I cannot continue my education elsewhere due to this. I also want someone to recognize how horrible the staff is there and discipline as needed.

Review: Hello my name is [redacted], I am writing in reguards on my behalf of my experience attending paul mitchell. I am a federal aid covered student, whos grants were all paid for to attend school & be provided with my proper equipment. I also was a former commuting student. 1hr/15mins.(they should make a accommedation frame for commuters) The whole experience was very unplesant! I was treated unfairly, humilated, targeted,& degrated!!!! It was like a verison of H.S again! if you werent apart of the clicks you were always a target! I am a beautiful women inside & out with a lot of respect & I was personally talked down on, by the staff! Rumors were made about me! I was humilated in class before over my hair & they made a huge joke! The owner of the school was in defense to me because of attendance. (i was no more than 15mins late somedays due to heavy traffic that I have no control of.) She raised & YELLED at me infront of other students clients & new customers! She personally did not care! She demanded me to sit down as she was yelling at me!I was shaking & asked to speak to the director. She said I am not allowed & threaten me! I calmy excused myself & said I didnt want to associate no more with her because she was mad an her face was extremely RED!(I WISH I HAD A Video!) She told me "your face is red too, whats your problem?! I looked at her & said "Excuse me? OF COURSE!IM CRYING!" She said I was calling for attention! I shook my head & looked The whole schools attention was on me!i am humilated & embaressed! There is soooo much more I can write & have to say about the director as well after the fact of all this matter. I really would like to talk to someone who really can do something about this because it is not just me who feels this way! Grown woman over the age of 25 are being treated like teenagers! This really needs to stop!& the way they treat there customers is very unacceptable & ive heard & watched actions and seen very upset customers who left with a bad experience. Please call me. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I would be pleased if action is tooken to reslove this matter & the whole school should have a whole new owner & new staff. [redacted] the business owner should be repremended for her actions & bullying! I know [redacted] would not be faund of having these type of people putting a bad reputation on his school! I want all my school funding restored as if I never attended and I will NEVER step into this school again. I really am hurt in everyway because I really wanted my licenses..
