I was so impressed with Safe and Sound Electric! John A[redacted], owner, and Jose cleaned up all the dangling and crazy wiring in my dark basement adding more accessible lighting with a switch and convenient outlets. They replaced old dimmer switches in my kitchen and figured out what was wrong with the weak voltage output in four under cabinet kitchen counter lighting locations- even restoring lighting that no other electrician could get to work for eight years! John suggested adding a special outlet solely for our electrical heater, as it kept blowing the fuse when coupled with other appliances on the same circuit. John also noticed that our breakfast table lighting was hanging oddly (it was never hung by an electrician) and suggested that he hang that properly. I did not think it was a big deal, but good thing he checked it because the light turned out to be hanging on the actual wires themselves, which was so unsafe- I never knew!
Lightening/surge protection was added to the main switch coupled with a portable generator outlet. Now the whole house is protected from surges, and I only have to connect one plug to the portable generator, rather than messing with the individual sump pump and refrigerator plugs outdoors. Also John and Jose discovered that squirrels had been living in a PVC pipe carrying all the electrical wires from the buried wires under the driveway. Safe and Sound Electric figured out a way to prevent them from getting into the pipe again.
Overall I am very impressed with the service from Safe and Sound Electric with their know-how, persistence in figuring out odd wiring/voltage issues, courteousness wearing booties in the house, good pricing, and willingness to make adjustments in scheduling around my own schedule. They carefully listened to my electrical needs and issues, asked many questions to make sure they had all the information they needed, and then explained all the options with the pros and cons of each. If an electrical issue arises, Safe and Sound Electric will be the one call I make. I highly recommend their services. [redacted]
