I was referred to Safe Dry by a friend. They do not steam clean, they use what appeared to be a floor buffer, but for carpet? Also, the tech offered to vacuum after he was finished as the "cleaning process" dragged up carpet fibers and pet hair. He used the same kind of vacuum we own. I definitely expected better.Here is the email I sent them, to which I haven't received a reply.
Hello,We had our carpets cleaned today by your company.I am less than thrilled with your service.
Initially I was quoted $110 over the phone, with a bit of wiggle room if my stains were plenty or difficult.After your employee arrived and looked at the space, he gave the phone to me and said that his boss would be handling the negotiating. I was not under the impression there was anything to negotiate, but I spoke to him anyway. He gave me a price of $302. That is a far cry from $110. We finally agreed on $196. For that price we were having our 12x18 living room cleaned, 13 stairs, and an upstairs hallway. One corner of the living room was not cleaned at all. The cleaning machine left black marks on the stairs in several places. Your employee got a rag to clean one set of them, but we had to use Resolve ourselves after he left.I expected he would clean our stains, not give us new ones. Also, the cleaning unit he used on the stairs splattered dirty water over the wall all along the stairway, which I then had to clean.

I was referred to your service by a friend of mine, who said you did a great job for her.
I'm completely disappointed and feel that even the discounted price of $196 is outrageous,
considering the amount of cleaning I had to do after your tech left. Also there is
and entire corner of the carpet that I paid to have cleaned, which was never touched.

How do we resolve this issue?

I called to schedule a carpet cleaning of my stairs after my dog had an accident and I needed the urine spot cleaned and removed. They assured me they could get it out. They came and treated the stain...it did not work and the smell was back within an hour. They repeated this process FOUR times. At that point, after the hassle of leaving work and meeting them four separate times with no solution, I asked for my money back, which they refused to do.

I had also added on the cleaning of my bathroom floors. They "cleaned" them, which was basically just mopping them. I could have done that myself. There was no difference after they were finished. I complained about that, they came back out, the representative acknowledged they had done a poor job the first time and mentioned that the employee that had cleaned the floors was no longer with the company because of his poor quality of work. Again, I asked for my money back and they refused. Refused to give me my money back after acknowledging the work done was poor. Unbelievable.

So, this company basically took my money and left me with the same problems I had to begin with. I have called numerous times to speak to someone about it, but have gotten no response. Very disappointed with not only the service on the floors, but the lack of customer service. We could have easily come to an agreement to give me my money back and I would have moved on. I'm shocked at the lack of resolution after weeks and weeks of trying to get this resolved.

Our tech came out to home and cleaned space. We then returned three additional times to re-service her space with focus on spots which we concluded were deemed permanent and warped. The floors were old and damaged from years of being under carpet that had recently removed most of except for stairs. They have pets in the home that may or may not contribute to soiling. Safe-Dry did all that was professionally ethical and rigorously cleaned the flooring that ultimately was unable to be made spotless. Safe-Dry does not claim perfection. We do guarantee that we will give our best and re-service if and when necessary. No refund will be given as we have returned three times to clean. Thus concluding that the spots and stains are clean and sanitary, but permanently dyed and warped.

This response is complete and total lies. The carpet they were to service was new, not old or warped. The bathroom floors they did not clean were NEVER under carpet. Why would carpet be in a bathroom? That is a made up lie. This company should be ashamed of themselves and I have told everyone I can not to use this company for any of their home cleaning needs and will continue to do so. Their response was untrue, unethical, and their customer service is terrible. They should at least just admit they are dishonest and take money for services they did not provide, rather than make up lies. Two of the men sent to service my home are now no longer employed with the company and the company admitted it was because they do not do good work. So they admitted to me they did not do good work and will not issue a refund. Everyone I speak to about this and will continue to speak to is appalled and will never use their services.
