Complaint I signed up for ADT services in aug/july of 2012,w/a fire alarm. My regular alarm was installed and they gave me a fire alarm but did not install it.When I signed up for ADT burglar alarm services, I asked to also include a fire and smoke monitoring services. When the system was installed I was given the fire and smoke alarm and was told they could not install it right now but they would as soon as they had the right licenses/certifications. I have been paying for my services on time for the last year and I have been calling every few weeks/months and keep getting put off. I was told 9-1-13 that they would be out next week. I have not heard from Chris nor do I have my monitored fire and smoke alarm. I have been paying for this service to be included in my bill and I have not had it for over a year. Desired SettlementI would like to have my the fire and smoke alarm installed and I would like to have credit for services I have not received. Business Response In order for a security company to install fire protection one has to be licensed. We were waiting to be properly licensed for fire protection before installing anything in customer's house. We did get our fire license. We went to customer's home, drew a layout of the property and are waiting for it to be approved before installing the smoke detector. Customer is aware of what's happening. As soon as the fire stickers for her home come back to the office, we will be scheduling a technician to go back to her home to add the smoke detector. Customer has not paid anything extra on the smoke protection. My complaint is regarding the advertised price listed in the sales paper but, the quoted price given to me was higher. After speaking with [redacted](installer), I informed him that I was charged 89.00 instead of the $27.00 that was shown in the sales paper. I did not authorize[redacted] to debit my account for 89.00. I called once I noticed the charge and was bounced from representative to representative, with no resolution. As of today, I have not received any refund or correspondence from a representative. I signed up for a 99$ Install and 35$monthly service fee. They charged me 1500$, the batteries are faulty and I didn't want this service.I scheduled installation via [redacted] for a 99$ install, 35$ a month service fee. The technician came out, did his work and requested I pay $1500. I just lost my husband and didn't know if that was what it cost so I paid it. I called my daughter who helped me and she let me know that was wrong. I was to pay $99 for an install and 4 doors. She called and got an appointment for the technician to come back, remove the extras and refund me that following Thursday. No one ever showed up. They claimed they were trying to contact me to reschedule but I never got a message. I am elderly and my daughter was trying to help me but they wouldn't allow her to. Then, my daughter called again to set up a rescheduled appointment but the gentleman would not speak with her. She told me I would have to call so I did. They told me I signed a contract and it would cost me an additional $1500 to have them remove it and void my contract. As an elderly person, I feel very taken advantage of and am so upset with this service. The customer service people were so nasty, would not help me and would not deal with my daughter in spite of me giving them authorization to do so.Desired SettlementI called and wanted nothing to do with this company. I had a safe streets usa sales representative knock on my door last night. I wouldn't open the door but told him through the glass that I didn't want his products.I then asked, did you make an appointment with my husband? He replied, I don't need an appointment. I said to enter my house you do! He wouldn't leave. He was persistent and kept asking to come in my house. I told him no and he needed to leave and he wouldn't. After the fourth time I said no and picked up my phone to call the police , he finally leaves. He then goes to my neighbors houses and I had already called them for a heads up. He was not aggressive to the neighbor when he came to the door. Another neighbor had a female knock on his door, after three or four times being asked to leave his property they finally left. Keep in mind, this is almost 7:00 at night and pitch black out here on country roads. I did report him to the police. And will place no solicitation signs on the property. These people are harassing homeowners . From what I have read about this company, they are frauds and are taking money from homeowners and not producing a service or product.

The company told me that they are ADT and the paperwork or contract just says Safe Streets because they handle processing the ADT forms. This is false. I've been trying to cancel service for a week now and have been given 5 phone numbers to call Safe Street who tells me to call ADT who tells me to call Safe Streets.... . The company says you can cancel service if you move. This is false. They expect you to "transfer service" or force new buyers to sign a new contract. There is no customer service and you really have no idea who you are dealing with when it comes to billing or contractual issues. It has been a nightmare for me and my home has never been burglarized; however, I'm now being robbed.

Falsification of dis-enrollment confirmation, continued harassing e-mails/ advertisements after several confirmed removals from mailing list. I have continually received e-mails from: SafeStreetsUSA After going to their dis-enrollment page I have been confirmed twice and even forwarded their email once. both times I have waited a week and continued to receive e-mails, I have attempted to fill out their "Are you still receiving e-mails after dis-enrollment" page but it continue to claim that my e-mail address is not on their list.Desired SettlementSimply request to stop being harassed by this company and their need to sell me a security system which I already have.Business Response Thank you for this information. Safe Street representatives have the responsibility of identifying themselves to customers as a second party authorized dealer of ADT so as not to deceive customers in believing their account is being set up with ADT corporate.
Safe Street made me feel as though I was being scammed, so I cancelled my appointment to have installation of ADT products and await my refund of $99+. This company took my social security and credit card numbers. ADT must give more attention to whom they authorize to represent the company!

ADT sent a Gaylord Industries tech to our house to install a system we ordered by phone. The sales gal said that there was a special running for $99 for all equipment and installation. The tech that came said that was not so, my husband argued with him & told him we were not interested if they wouldn't keep their word. He asked us if he could get us a good deal, would we consider installing that day. He then called his supervisor who waived the extra fees so that the charge was $99 (plus tax of course). Before agreeing to the installation we asked if we should wait until our new windows were put in, which happened on July 2nd. His response was that we could reattach the sensors since they were easy to do. I had to call ADT because they were NOT easy to remove; the gal helping me assured me that we could not reattach them ourselves but would need a tech. AND that they would charge $15 per window. The tech came today and basically lied to us saying that he explained to us that there might be a charge to reattach the sensors. So far, we have TWO LIES by this tech. We want a total refund of this $97.47 charge and if we could, we would cancel our three year contract with ADT. What a nightmare this has been. Safe Street installed my ADT Pulse security system in July of 2015, in March of 2016 the system began failing. The remote keypad will not connect to the Z-wave base station keypad unless the two are directly next to one another. I only have an 1,100 square foot condo, this issue should not be occurring. After no less than 5 technicians from either company have told me there is nothing wrong with my system...I have had enough of this faulty system. Every time I call Safe Streets, I'm told I need to speak to ADT, but when I call ADT they tell me to call Safe Streets. This is beyond ridiculous and verging on criminal. If you cannot make your system work, get it out of here without charging me the remaining balance of a 3 year contract.

Verbal agreements I was told that for the installation of my system I would not be charged till May 2016 and I had my system installed 3/23/2016 so I figured great a couple free months. So based on that I had the system installed and then was charged in April for the month of May. The agreement was that I wasn't going to be charge anything till May not that I was going to be billed in April for May. I have notified them and was told I would get a quick response and haven't heard anything since. Agent came out to install the Alarm but he didn't have all the equipment that I needed or that he needed in order to complete the job. I decided to cancel the service altogether within 3 days. Agent came out on February 17th February 18th I cancelled by sending 3 faxes and a certified letter to safe streets USA, ADT alarm dealer certified letter was signed for on February 22nd and as of today March 8th 2016 I have not received my refund . Verbally, I was told by the manager [redacted] that it would be cancelled as of the 19th of February. March 7th 2016 I spoke with a [redacted] who said it had not been processed as of that date, and that there usually is a 7 to 10 days processing time. A hard inquiry was made to my credit report by this company. I have never applied for credit through them and do not have an account with them. The following day I called and cancelled the appointment because my wife and I decided that we did not need the equipment. Nothing was signed by me applying for credit of any sort. No credit line was even discussed. After cancelling the appointment I have had 5 or more representatives stop by my house. Often multiple sales representatives a day. They have been very pushy and rude since then. They stop by when my wife is home alone with my kids. We are new to the area since I am active duty military and they often make her feel uncomfortable and unsafe. My main issue is the hrs inquiry on my credit report. This needs to be removed immediately.Desired SettlementI am seeking to have the hard inquiry on my credit report removed because I do have credit with this company and I have never applied for credit. I also seek for them to never contact me or my wife again since she has asked them muiltiple times to stop coming by and they refuse to do so. Thank you for your time and assistance with this matter. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a company, I was sold an alarm system that wasn't working properly for my home my family or my pets. I gave this company three opportunities including the installation date to rectify the situation. I tried to cancel in my three day window and was told by [redacted] that if I gave them another opportunity I would be able to cancel after my three day window since they had my letter and I intended to cancel. They came out and the alarm still wasn't working. I called multiple time to cancel and received no call back. Now after getting in touch they won't allow me to get out of contract without a penalty like promised. They want me to keep taking time off work so they can put more holes in my walls and said they want to come back out and have another try to fix the alarm when I r repeatedly asked for them to honor my cancelation with no penalty as promised. I received horrible customer service I can only contact upper management through email. I was frauded into thinking if this system didn't work I could cancel after my window. They roped me into going over those days so that they could keep my contract in play. This is a horrible company and horrible customer care. I tried reaching out to adt since that is who I called to get this installed and they can't do a thing for me try wouldn't ever reach out to safe street. I would never recommend anyone get ADT because they use safe street as their installer.

Door to door salesperson, [redacted] was belligerent and abusive. When I asked her to remover herself and her business card from my property, she cursed me out. You will never get my business.

After many attempts to resolve this directly with [redacted] corp and Safe Streets USA, I'm submitting a request to the Revdex.com for a cancellation and refund. When I purchased [redacted] I was told that the system would alert me if any of the senors detected intrusion or if the system was not functioning. The system was not functioning over a year and I was never notified by [redacted] but was being billed continuously nonetheless. I first noticed it July 28th, 2015. I had reached out numerous times to have it services, but no one ever came out. I have been bounced back and forth constantly between [redacted] corporate and the reseller Safe Streets as neither seems interested in dealing with the cancellation. I have also been hung up on twice by reps upon realizing that I had called to cancel. I am asking to be refunded so that that I was only charged while the system was actually working. ON FIRST DAY A REP CAME AND THEN AFTER WASTING MY TIME TOLD THAT HE HAD NOT THE PROPER EQUIPMENT AND RESCHEDULED IT.ON RESCHEDULE DAY TWO REPS CAME AND THEN AGAIN AFTER HALF THE JOB IE CHANGING DATA BOARD IN MY HOUSE TOLD AGAIN THAT THEY HAVE NOT THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT AND ALSO TOLD ME THAT I HAVE TO GET AN ELECTRICIAN INVOLVED. I TALKED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE MULTIPLE TIMES AND IT WAS CONFIRMED THAT ON 10TH OF AUG JOB WILL BE COMPLETED IF AN ELECTRICIAN IS AVAILABLE. A SafeStreets Representative named [redacted] was in the neighborhood, going door to door offering to install ADT alarm systems with a promotion of one free indoor camera, 2 glass breaks, a smoke detector, a light module and use of their smart phone app. We had been considering upgrading our current alarm system for some time, so we sat down ** talk.
He offered to "CONVERT" our existing hard-wired system (we already have 2 glass breaks as well as the hard wired system) and install 2 security cameras inside for the promotional fee of $99 plust $160 for the 2nd camera (1 camera is included in the current promotion of $99). So, I signed an installation work order, paid $259.00 and scheduled the installation for a couple days later.
When the installer showed up, he looked at the existing system and said he couldn't use it, but for an additional $1400 he could set us up with a state-of-the-art system. I told him to GET OUT OF MY HOUSE.
That in itself took some doing, because he immediately back-tracked and said he could do it for about $1000. I told him to GET OUT OF MY HOUSE NOW. He finally left, but 10 minutes later I got a phone call from someone at their Customer Retention department. I told them they had used bait and switch tactics and that I DID NOT want their alarm service for $1400 nor for $1000. She said she could do it for "only" $599.
I told her I never wanted to hear from them again and that I wanted my $259 refunded immediately. They said it would take about 10 business days.
10 business days later, my husband called SafeStreets to find out where our refund was. The person he spoke to said that they had a note "right there on our account" to process our refund that day.
When the refund did not show up in our bank account, we called the bank to refute the charge.
Then, three weeks after this all happened, I get a call from SafeStreets USA saying that they had sent us a refund, AND our bank had stopped payment on the $259 and credited our account, so that in fact, we had been paid back twice. They wanted their $259 back!
I told my husband to tell them we'd have to verify that with our bank, and that if that was the case, we'd refund their money in 10 working days, just like they did.
