It is soley for long distance pistol shooting, as described on our website. Most of our gun enthusiasts call us before they purchase a scope for high caliber guns to see if they can withstand the recoil, and we advise them at that point. We have a SRP6266NS that is rated for high caliber handguns although a double action Magnum may be too powerful, as we advised the customer. Our website provides all the descriptions of our scopes and provides a number to reach us at if there are any questions. The lifetime warranty is for manufacturer flaws and we feel this is not a warranty issue.

It all comes down to is this scope SRP6261NS 4X32 rated for a double action Magnum? The answer is NO it is not. The SRP6266 is rated for large caliber guns, and states so in it's description, although even at that doesn't mean it will withstand the recoil of a double action Magnum pistol. If you need informed information on this or any product then yes you should reach out to the company that manufactures it. We make sure our phone number, website and email address available.
