Greeting,
Today our VP of our company *** visited the below store to purchase gift cards to donate to furloughed government and contracted employees. When she began to make purchase she was questioned as to how many, she could purchase and how she could only pay in cash. I've never in my life have heard of such poor customer service. To be questioned in such manner goes against our own values at our company Service before self. Clearly Safeway does not believe in donating to the community, because if so this should not even been a question to ask. Our VP even tried to explain the nature at which we were buying the gift cards and was still treated with interrogation style questioning. It is this type treatment that we will never visit this store again. We will also report this to the Revdex.com in hopes that other small business will not be treated in such terrible and thoughtless treatment when a company such as ours is trying to impact the community in a positive way.
