Sage Management was the management company that handled my condo, in Oregon, WII urge anyone and everyone to stay very far away from this unprofessional and flagrant company
I had owned my condo for a little over years, when my husband and I decided to sellWe finally had an accepted offer that was dependent on the inspectionWell, news to us, the inspection came back with mold in the basementTurns out, the mold was from a water leak the neighboring condo experienced years earlierWe hadn't noticed it since it was in the basement that was primarily used for storage and we just didn't go down there that oftenFirst thing I did was reach out to Sage Management to get their suggestion of next steps5+ phone calls and emails went unanswered; this is week oneTo get the process moving I had reached out to two different mold professionals to get quotes on repairing the damage(Keep in mind, I'm trying to do this quickly and efficiently to ensure the unit would still sell.) After speaking to one of the remediation companies who worked a lot with condos in the area, technically, I don't even own the wall that is in question and I couldn't even sign the work order if I wanted toHe told me that it was of his experience that the association would be the one to handle the costs and sign the orderWe contacted a lawyer friend to go over the docs and told him the situationHe was under the assumption that the association should be the one to handle it, as wellThis is week two, nowThe buyer had pulled out since we couldn't remedy the situation in an acceptable timelineAt this point, I am calling S*** Management twice a dayFinally, at the end of the week I speak to a woman who is new, I honestly cant remember her nameShe was nice, however, but unable to be very helpfulIt's now week three, and we have another offerFINALLY I get in touch with Rose Sage, someone who can answer a questionShe simply tells me that "No the association will not be responsible for this." She gave no reason when I asked why and never called me back to explainActually, I had called her back twice and the one time I spoke to her she still had no reasonThis is where I'll stop - because this process went on and on and we lost yet, another buyerNow zoom forward to weeks later when a new management company is handling the condos (shocker Sage was kicked out) and they reviewed the doc and the association IS RESPONSIBLE for the renovation of the situationThey are handling it all with ease and professionalismThank goodness, because if I had to speak with Rose S*** and her flippant attitude again, I'd rip my hair out
