Dear Representative Revdex.com:In response to Mr***’s letter dated July 30, I have decided, if he is willing, I will send a service tech to look at the squeak in the subfloor of his kitchen floorWhile this is not a warranty item, I will do what I can to ensure Mr*** is satisfied with his purchaseI contend that this squeak can be fixed from underneath and we will do our best to fix this issueBeyond this claim, I don’t see that Mr*** has any additional warranty claims to address.Upon viewing Mr***’s rebuttal response, I am disappointed that he is still dissatisfied with our service and craftsmanshipAfter printing over pages of back and forth communication, I had hoped that he would realize that we have done our very best to satisfy his requests, claims, and concernsOnce again, we are going above our responsibility to meet his expectations.I must admit, that I work with customer warranty claims on a regular basis, and Mr***’s claims have been excessive (a dozen more complaints than any other buyer)I will say that it was never my intent to personally attack Mr***, and if he has been offended in any way I sincerely apologizeI have simply done my best to lay out the facts of this caseAfter a thorough reading of the entire package of correspondence, I would contend that my manner has been professional throughout, but I will let you be the judge.I do take it personally when Mr*** says “my home is poorly built and the craftsmanship is horrible”This is completely and offensiveThis is my life’s work, and I pride myself in putting quality and craftsmanship above all elseJudging my company against other area builders, I believe our craftsmanship and warranty are in the top 5% of entry-level homes. As stated above, if Mr*** agrees, I will attempt to fix the squeak in his kitchen floor one more time as a means of creating a positive final impression.Thank you for your time and your active management of this claim.Respectfully,William S*PresidentSager Family Homes, Inc

August 31, 2015[redacted] Tacoma, WA. 98445[redacted]Revdex.com PO Box 1000 Dupont, WA 98327RE: Complaint ID: [redacted]Dear Representative Revdex.com:This is my response to Mr. William S[redacted] letter dated August 18, 2015.Mr. William S[redacted], states that he's only willing to try to fix the floor squeaks, but from underneath the house. He have already tried this type of repair and it was unsuccessful, and only lasted for 12-24 hours, so this type of repair is only a short temporary repair. All the time that would be spent on a repair that doesn't last is only a waste of my time and the builder time. The attempted repair, left insulation underneath the house not restored to the original form.Mr. S[redacted] also states that this is the only item that he would repair and no additional warranty issues were addressed by myself. That is not a true statement. I sent Sager Family Homes Inc, a End of Year Report Letter for repairs by certified mail postmarked March 27, 2015, however Mr. S[redacted] refused to pick up the letter, so it was returned to me unclaimed on April 24,2015. That letter was a warranty repair request. I'm including a copy of the front of the envelope that was mailed to Sager Family Homes, Inc.Mr. S[redacted] makes an apology, but continue to make attacks on my character. I make my statements about the service, quality, and craftsmanship of the house, based on the customer service experience as well as things that I see around my house. Some of the issues that were discovered after the warranty expiration, I guess that's why they only give a one year warranty. In one year, it's almost impossible for anyone to find all faults that's in a home, yet alone a single homeowner. I welcome anyone into my home to see the issues and the reason why I make my statement in regards to the quality and craftsmanship of my home. This is not the first new construction home that I have purchased in my lifetime. Others builders that I have dealt with really never had to come back to make repairs, that I'm dealing with now. Before the end of the warranty period they would come into the home and make the necessary repairs, instead of always claiming an item is not a warranty item.Others homeowner that I have talk with, in the community are having issues as well but choose not to pursue them. Almost everyone of them have been told at some point, the issues are not a warranty item by Sager Family Homes Inc. Maybe someone should come out to the community to talk with each homeowner, to see if I'm exaggerating my claim.I'm open for repairs to be made, however I don't want a repair done, knowing that it's not going to last and just so that Mr. S[redacted] can say that he attempted repairing it. If he's willing to see the repair to the end and if it only last for a week or so, that he would come back to repair it again. I believe a independent contractor advice on the proper way to repair the subfloor would be appropriate.Sincerely,[redacted]Homeowner

Sager Family Homes. Inc.PO Box [redacted] Tacoma. WA 98448[redacted]   sagerfamilyhomes.comJuly 16.2015[redacted] Revdex.com PO Box 1000 DuPont, WA 98327RE: Complaint ID: [redacted])Dear Representative Revdex.com:In...

regards to the complaint addressed above. I would like to provide my depiction of events regarding the warranty procedure at Mr. [redacted] home. In summary, we have worked diligently and constantly to provide exceptional service throughout the entire warranty period. We have gone above and beyond the specific warranty requirements in an attempt to earn Mr. [redacted] satisfaction from day one. At this point, we have come to the understanding that Mr. [redacted] will never be satisfied, and has resorted to belittling. threatening, and misleading complaints. We have resolved all legitimate warranty claims to date, and have explained that additional claims that are not warranted or presented beyond the warranty period will not be addressed. While his complaint provides several general issues without citing specific examples, I will attempt to address each concern of Mr. [redacted] directly.First let me say, that this was a fantastic home built with great quality and craftsmanship. Mr. [redacted] has submitted 8 separate lists for perceived warranty claims. His claims have ranged from his microwave turntable not spinning, to excessive dust in the house six months after his occupancy, to his assumption that our County approved furnace was installed with the wrong BTU's, and everything in between. In all we have acted on several dozen claims; all have been minor in nature, and many have been outside our scope of warranty, yet we have addressed them as a courtesy nonetheless.Mr. [redacted] has stated that we have not responded to e-mail, written and phone correspondence. In fact we have communicated with Mr. [redacted] on 17 occasions regarding warranty concerns. 4/23/14, 4/29/14, 5/5/14, 5/6/14. 5/13/14, 5/20/14, 7/11/14. 7/22/14, 7/24/14, 7/28/14, 10/28/14, 11/4/14. 11/5/14, 11/6/14. 12/29/14, 1/9/15, and 4/7/15. Beyond that we have completed 6 house visits from our staff: 5/1/14. 5/8/14. 5/20/14, 5/22/14, 7/14/14. and 1/13/15. Another 6-8 visits from our subcontractors, and countless phone calls in between. Our communication record has been exemplary. In regards to the subfloor, carpet, and furnace vibrations issues I will address each below:1. The carpet at one point had a rolled pad on one step of the staircase. We had the carpet company come on site and fix this issue although it was likely caused by actions of Mr. [redacted]. I show this claim as having been resolved.2. Regarding the subfloor issues mentioned. This is specifically involving a couple minor squeaks from the subfloor. I have advised Mr. [redacted], that we cannot warranty minor squeaks, creaks and cracks, as all homes will settle slightly over time. However, as a courtesy we went onsite on 1/13/15 and attempted to resolve the few squeaks that Mr. [redacted] had noticed. We were successful with removing one squeak, and temporarily with the rest. Since our repairs Mr. [redacted] has advised that a few of the squeaks have returned. Further he has expressed that he will only be satisfied if the floor is ripped up and rebuilt. We cannot go to this extreme measure, considering this isn't a valid warranty claim, and we are only addressing his concerns as courtesy.3. In response to the so called vibrating furnace, when we were onsite 1/13/15 he explained the furnace vibration, and after inspection, we discovered no vibration beyond that of a typical furnace. We had communicated this information at the time.We have had various other warranty claims with other homeowners in the division. We have done our best to provide exceptional service. We have had no major warranty claims ($1,000 or more) and have attempted to address all claims as quickly as possible.William S[redacted] PresidentSager Family Homes, Inc.In conclusion, I would argue that Mr. [redacted] claims are unfounded and unreasonable. We have managed and resolved numerous warranty and non-warranty claims alike. We have gone above and beyond the call of duty, and, as the warranty period has expired, we intend no additional claims from Mr. [redacted].
