I spoke with MsJ regarding the timeliness and availability of tailoring services for multiple Salwar *** outfits prior to sending fabric in the Spring of to SAHIL on Devon Avenue I was reassured by J that such service would be available We discussed my preferences for lining, a variety of modest necklines and 3/sleeve lengths After non-completion of the items after weeks/months had gone by, J eventually promised items would be done in June It's the middle of September and my items are not yet finished and are not going to be completed (These were simple cotton suits with cotton lining desired.) I provided lining materials I did receive a partial shipment of some suits in early August All had the exact same neckline and short sleeves; pants were unlined and very transparent The latter were returned to SAHIL for lining insertion I've been in regular contact with J, advising that I would come later this month to IL from out-of-state to retrieve all items and to review the fabric there due to missing pieces of the sets Rather than keeping verbal promises according to her reiteration of my requests for this custom sewing, I was informed that all items were made only according to the sample sent and that there had been a lack of fabric for completing the work, as requested Never was I told during all of the preceding months that the quantity of fabric was insufficient In fact, thinking that one suit set may not be adequate to fit me, I had sent two identical suit sets to make one set; this had been discussed prior to sending the fabric Only one set was used by the tailor to comprise one suit I had advised that the extra, duplicate duppatta could be used for making longer sleeves, if so needed I've been in regular contact with J, advising that I would come later this month to IL from out-of-state to retrieve all items and to review the fabric there due to missing pieces of the sets, requesting that the tailor line the pants and complete a couple of remaining suits l was advised this evening, when I called, on 9/19/that there was no tailor to finish the work in the next week and a half before my scheduled arrival It was subsequently shocking to receive a notification from UPS that SAHIL was sending me a package I contacted them and was only then advised that UNFINISHED items would be arriving by overnight delivery despite me having discussed plans to come to Chicago to review items I requested that they contact UPS to have the items returned to SAHIL, but they refused
