Review: On 12/[redacted]/13 I purchased a Vornado heater from the Saifee Hardware Store at [redacted]. I realized when I turned it on at home that its heating capacity was too small for my apartment. I put it back in the box and because of my schedule was not able to return it until after the weekend on Monday morning at 10:30. I went to the store and said, "I know your policy is not to give cash refunds, but could I please have a store credit? This heater is not adequate for my apartment. The salesperson said, "Yeah, It's for a desk or counter." He then said, "The coldest days were yesterday and the day before." He turned to the other cashier and said, "They use it on the cold days, then try to return it." I replied, "They who?" He ignored me and said to the other cashier, "It's up to you." The cashier looked at it and said, "The top of the box is ripped. We can't sell it." I replied that the small tear on the top of the box did not make the heater unsellable. And the store policy was that if the merchandise was returned within seven days the customer could receive a store credit. I had not used the heater. It was brought back in the same plastic wrapping and box in five days and I thought, according to their policy, I was owed $48.98 credit. The [redacted]refused. I asked could I see a [redacted]. He said he didn't know when he'd be there. I asked for the store owner. He said he didn't know when he'd be there. I said I thought I was being treated unfairly and rudely and left. What I am requesting is a credit of my $48.98. I should request an apology because of how rudely I was treated, but I've seen other people treated just as rudely in that store before.Desired Settlement: I would like a store credit of $48.98.
