Please note that the allegations brought against me are baseless, fabricated and fraudulentThis is an attempt to procure monetary gains through unscrupulous methodsWhile complaints are being made against me today, patient has been using my services for over years [redacted] oral condition can only be attributed to her own actions and lack thereof, in spite on repeated advice.Procedures against which complaints are being made by [redacted] son, [redacted] were initiated in the month of October with several extractions, scaling & root-planning and a couple of fillings to prepare her mouth for prostheticsTHIS ISS OVER SEVENTEEN MONTHS AGOPorcelain Crowns were cemented on And Valplast Dentures were inserted in patient’s mouth on – which fit perfectly at the time and [redacted] had no complaintsOn [redacted] came to my office for an adjustment of her Upper DentureDuring the visit she had expressed her satisfaction.Eight months passed without hearing from [redacted] ***, which only implies that she had no problems with her dentures or the procedures performedOn [redacted] came to my office - this time with severe periodontal infection around tooth #’s & which had porcelain crownsThere was infection around the area which was due to neglected oral hygiene & heavy smoking habits along with the fact that patient routinely slept with her dentures onAny Dentist will confirm these are disastrous habits for dental health [redacted] had been repeatedly advised against her old habits which have been consistently ignoredThis had lead to severe periodontal infection around the root, underneath the porcelain crownsThis had further aggravated the area creating deep pockets! Patient was extremely uncomfortable and asked for extractionsBoth teeth were extracted and medication prescribedAfter extraction the only treatment option left for us was to temporarily add two teeth to her existing Partial Upper Dentures, giving her gum a chance to heal[redacted] insisted on a gold tooth to be fabricated onto her PartialsThis was inserted within a week and patient was asked to return when her gum had healed completely and to refrain from smoking entirely(Note an unpaid balance of $remains for the above, extraction, lab-fees and gold tooth)Knowing that [redacted] had limited means, out of compassion, I had promised her son that I would make her a Full Upper Denture at no costHere too, she requested a gold tooth once againSince [redacted] was a long time patient of mine I was willing to make her a denture free of charge, but to bear the cost of a gold tooth was not within my budgetTherefore, I asked her son to pay for the gold tooth aloneThis is when their demands and accusations started [redacted] and [redacted] we both agitated - abruptly engaging in abusive, aggressive and completely inappropriate behavior and language, creating an unfortunate atmosphere within the office in the presence of my staff and other patientsI have been a practicing Dentist in the neighborhood for over years and have never mistreated or neglected any of my patients’ and have always treated my patients with a lot of compassionThis was pre-meditated and designed to harass, embarrass, do damage to my practiceHad I been an incompetent practitioner why would [redacted] seek my services since June of 2007? For over eight years [redacted] has periodically returned to my office for different treatments receiving deeply discounted prices and consenting to every procedureThe procedures that have been performed in her mouth would cost over $at any other Dental OfficeValplast Dentures were charged only $each and Porcelain Crowns were charged only $eachThe going costs of the same are $and $respectively.Serious problems are inevitable when a patient disregards the doctor’s advicePatient had been coached to take better care of her teeth and requested to quit smoking to arrest the damage done to her teeth which were fast deteriorating, on every visitThis complaint and demand of money made by her son is an attempt of extraction by using tactics of harassment & intimidation, these are baseless accusations and will not be entertained by my officeThe only concession that will be made is to overlook the $outstanding balance, provided harassments seize immediatelyFailing which, I shall be forced to take legal actionAdditionally, [redacted] during her last visit refused to tor take her newly finished Full Dentures with gold tooth, (cost me over $400)! Instead, [redacted] and her son want money back - which raises the question of motives!

The dentures in question are ready and waiting to be picked up for a while now
This procedure, by the way, was started over months agoPatient still owes
the office $for her gold tooth
Documents requested by the patient were provided to her during her last visit
The original chart, is legally the property of the Dental Office at all times,
and includes signed & dated consents by the patient, for every procedure
performed

On 07/**/2014 [redacted] came to my office for an adjustment of her Upper Denture. During the visit she had expressed her satisfaction.Eight months passed without hearing from [redacted], which only implies that she had no problems with her dentures or the procedures performed. On 03/**/2015 [redacted] came to my office - this time with severe periodontal infection around tooth #’s 8 & 10 which had porcelain crowns. There was infection around the area which was due to neglected oral hygiene & heavy smoking habits along with the fact that patient routinely slept with her dentures on. Any Dentist will confirm these are disastrous habits for dental health. [redacted] had been repeatedly advised against her old habits which have been consistently ignored. This had lead to severe periodontal infection around the root, underneath the porcelain crowns. This had further aggravated the area creating deep pockets! Patient was extremely uncomfortable and asked for extractions. Both teeth were extracted and medication prescribed. After extraction the only treatment option left for us was to temporarily add two teeth to her existing Partial Upper Dentures, giving her gum a chance to heal.[redacted] insisted on a gold tooth to be fabricated onto her Partials. This was inserted within a week and patient was asked to return when her gum had healed completely and to refrain from smoking entirely. (Note an unpaid balance of $250 remains for the above, extraction, lab-fees and gold tooth)Knowing that [redacted] had limited means, out of compassion, I had promised her son that I would make her a Full Upper Denture at no cost. Here too, she requested a gold tooth once again. Since [redacted] was a long time patient of mine I was willing to make her a denture free of charge, but to bear the cost of a gold tooth was not within my budget. Therefore, I asked her son to pay for the gold tooth alone. This is when their demands and accusations started. The procedures that have been performed in her mouth would cost over $4500 at any other Dental Office. Valplast Dentures were charged only $550 each and Porcelain Crowns were charged only $450 each. The going costs of the same are $1200 and $900 respectively.Serious problems are inevitable when a patient disregards the doctor’s advice. Patient had been coached to take better care of her teeth and requested to quit smoking to arrest the damage done to her teeth which were fast deteriorating, on every visit. This complaint and demand of money made by her son is an attempt of extraction by using tactics of harassment & intimidation, these are baseless accusations and will not be entertained by my office. The only concession that will be made is to overlook the $250 outstanding balance, provided harassments seize immediately. Failing which, I shall be forced to take legal action. Additionally, [redacted] during her last visit refused to try-on or take her newly finished Full Dentures with gold tooth, (cost me over $400)!
