Review: On July 20th, 2014, my husband arrived at St. Michael's ER with a large metal stuck through his hand in agonizing pain. St. Michael's outsources their ER staff through [redacted] Emergency based in Atlanta, GA. Someone saw my husband and brought him into a room. They asked what happened and took his insurance card. No one ever triaged him meaning the vital signs information listed in the medical records were not my husbands. My husband sat in the room for over one hour in pain and was so upset that he walked out and drove himself to [redacted] Hospital where he was seen right away. He couldn't take the pain anymore. Our insurance received a bill from [redacted] which we paid. Afterwards we started receiving a bill from St. Michael's for $243.97 and one for [redacted] Services for 528.00 which was for the Triage Nurse. This ER staff changed the medical records on July 23rd however it clearly shows my husband walked out of the hospital upset. We provided a bill from [redacted] Hospital to no avail. We told them the medical records were changed and that its not legal. I asked the hospital to check the tapes from the night to no avail. I just paid both bills so that our credit would not be affected because neither organization cared to look into the matter.Desired Settlement: Both charges to be credited. [redacted] Emergency takes direction of St. Michael's Hospital. No hospital or its staff should be able to falsify medical records for insurance/customer payments. if someone walks out because of lack of treatment, no one has the right to cover it up.
