Saint Peters University Hospital Reviews (2)

Review: I have been receiving a bill from the St Peters University Hospital for service date of Nov 9 2012 for the total outstanding balance of 246.16. I contacted the hospital billing department over 4 times since April 2013 along with the insurance company Cigna on conference call at times to explain that all balances are paid in full and even provided the proof of payments in full over three times to the hospital billing department via fax and mail (the proof was sent both by the insurance company and myself). I spoke with the billing manager [redacted] on June 7 2013 who was able to locate and verify the last payment by the insurance company which covers the outstanding balance and verified that there was an overpayment of $53.84 by me.. On August 14th, I received a bill from the institution indicating that the balance of 246.16 still outstanding instead of a refund check for $53.84.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome is clearing the outstanding balance and proving me with a refund check for $53.84.

There have been payments totaling $610.64 received on this account, leaving the remaining balance of $246.16 being billed to you directly. The total amount due after contractual adjustment was $856.80, with total payments of $610.64, the balance is $246.16.

I thank you again for your understanding in this matter and hope I was able to provide the customer service you needed. If you require anything further, please feel free to contact me at ###-###-####.

Best Regards,

Review: I visited the ER at this hospital for my son's treatment. Later on I received two separate bills, one for the hospital and another for the doctor. They are claiming that the doctor does not participate with my insurance provide even though the hospital does participate. I was not told this up-front nor was I informed of the service charges that the doctor would be billing. If I had known I would have requested for a participating provider to see my son.Desired Settlement: Since the hospital is participating with the insurance, all physicians should be required to participate or not be allowed to work at that hospital. I am willing to pay whatever bill is due from a participating provider for the same service.
