In response to the complaint filed on August 7, The Saladmaster Limited Lifetime Warranty guarantees Saladmaster Cookware to be free from defects in material and craftsmanship under use and service for the lifetime of the original consumer The warranty does not apply
to damage caused by accidents, misuse, abuse, commercial use, neglect, tampering, alterations, and ordinary wear and tearFor accidents, misuse or abused cookware the warranty allows for replacement of product at one half of the current retail price. Attached is a copy of the Saladmaster warranty On August 2, we received 3qt saucepan with cover and 10” chef gourmet pan with 10” coverOur service technicians fully inspected the cookware and found the product to be free of defects in material and workmanship, however our evaluation found Ms***’s cookware warped and stained due to excessively high heat. Photos of Ms***’s cookware are attached As a courtesy to our customer and an attempt to meet her needs, on August 10, we contacted Ms*** by phone to discuss the replacement cost, and at time offered a much lower discounted price of $for all pieces listed above. Ms*** stated she would have to pass on the offer. It was agreed that the cookware would be returned to her via UPS and she could expect to receive the cookware within 7-business days Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention, and for a chance to resolve the matter

I called the customer and left a voice mail regarding the response from *** ***. It appears that Preferred removed the Repossession from the Credit Agency and sent her a letter confirming that action. I assume this will resolve the issue for the consumer

I understand the consumer has filed a dispute with his credit card company.  Credit Card Company will do a charge back to the dealers account.   Once we receive further information regarding this situation we will keep you informed.

We understand the customer's feelings regarding the challenges this situation created for her.   We would like to clear up a misunderstanding regarding the our ability to assist her.    The problem that she experienced, and her attempts to contact the Dealership in California were unknown to Saladmaster until we received notification from the Revdex.com.  There was no contact or information given to Saladmaster prior to the Revdex.com contact.    The Dealership in California is an independent business that is owned by a person in California and we assume that is the contact the consumer attempted to make.While Saladmaster had no relationship or participation in the situation between the California businesss and the customer, once the Revdex.com made us aware of the situation, we immediately contacted the Finance company to assure that the issue the customer was dealing with was resolved.    The President of Saladmaster called the customer and left a message confirming our actions in this regard.  Saladmaster is known for it's standards and customer service and we feel this was demonstrated in this situation.We are now following up with the individual in California regarding the use of business practices to insure this type of situation does not reoccur.   While we appreciate the customer's feelings, we hope that Saladmaster's immediate follow up and support once we were contacted was the response anyone would wish for.   If the consumer would like to speak to the President regarding this issue, they are welcome to use the Saladmaster.com website to contact customer service who will put them in contact with the President.

Not interested in resolving. This complaint should remain on Revdex.com website so others are aware of fraudulent activity by company.   Please DO NOT attempt to contact me. Every attempt was made to contact you for weeks before I submitted this complaint to Revdex.com, by myself and [redacted], with no response from Saladmaster.   Again DO NOT attempt to contact me or [redacted].
