After reviewing the contract and looking at aerial photos of the property, it was determined that the salesman miscounted the ventsTherefore, only vents were installed when the homeowner did in fact have ventsThis was discussed with
the homeowner and a refund check was issued
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 12, 2015/08/31) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Salazar did take ownership of the mistake that was made and issued a refund check to cover services and supplies not rendered

First, with respect to the damaged trim this was repaired on July 27, 2016. We apologize if Ms. [redacted] felt our response was less than prompt, however we have many customers and are often fully scheduled a month out for non-emergency repairs. This was not a leak or anything that affected...

the integrity to her home so we consider this a non-emergency. We put this repair on our schedule and made the repair in due course. We believe the complaint about the trim is now a moot point since repair is completed. Second, we respectfully disagree about the complaint regarding the damage to her driveway. Salazar had a truck in her driveway on a single occasion for a short amount of time to deliver shingles. The truck was a one ton flat bed regularly used by Salazar in normal operations. It appears the driveway was 13-14 years old. Ms. [redacted] acknowledged the driveway was already cracked in several different locations. Also, Ms. [redacted] acknowledges she had a tow truck that same day come onto her driveway to pick up her car and take it to be repaired. We believe the tow truck would have been larger and heavier than our truck. If Ms. [redacted] wants to hire an engineer at her expense we would certainly consider any further information she might want to discuss. In light of these circumstances, we do not believe there is any clear connection between the work that Salazar did and the damage to her driveway.   Tell us why here...

I am rejecting this response because: There was communication between myself and Salazar Roofing, and it was NOT courteous nor respectful.  Salazar Roofing threatened that they were going to put a lien on my property, and had their collection agency contact me directly about this.  I had already told Salazar that I have the right according to the Oklahoma Construction Industries Board to choose whomever I wanted to handle the replacement of all the guttering to my home.  Additionally after I told Salazar Roofing Construction this I was contacted by their collection agency and told that if they were not allowed to do the replacement repairs themselves by the end of the week when I filed this complaint that they would file a lien against my property.  I contacted Paige of Salazar Roofing via email and expressed my lack of appreciation for such tactics and informed her that do to their threats I would be contacting an attorney, in which I have.  He recommended that I go directly to the CIB for assistance first as these complaints are turned into the Attorney Generals office in the State Of Oklahoma in which I did.  I am waiting on action from the CIB currently.  I will also never allow Salazar Roofing Construction back on my property again as they are underhanded unethical, and unprofessional and a company that absolutely does NOT follow the rule of law.
Additionally I had contacted the Revdex.com and the response I am now addressing was not able to be opened, therefore I had to leave a message and wait for the Revdex.com to contact me back in order to resend me the communication so that I could address the issue.  I have been taking care of a daughter who just finished surgery and have not had an opportunity to address this until today.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

The file for Jason and Ladonna [redacted] was turned over to a collection agency for non payment.  The balance that is owed on a $10, 925.00 contract is $7,925.00.  The office was never directly contacted regarding the issues about the subcontractor falling from the roof nor the damage to the...

gutters until the account was turned over to the collection company.  The [redacted]'s made a payment of $3,000.00 in 2014 them wanted to be set up on a payment plan.  At that time, they never mentioned the issues with the gutters or the subcontractor falling from the roof.  In the two years that the balance has been owed they have not been concerned about the gutters being damaged or have they called to get them repaired.  As soon as we learned of the damage to the gutters we sent our installer to measure and set up a time to remove and replace the damaged gutters and all existing gutters to match.  The [redacted]'s delayed the install and then proceeded to inform us that they were allowed to choose any contractor that they want to install the new gutters.  So we instructed our collection company to proceed forward in collection minus $500.00 for a gutter replacement allowance. We responded to the [redacted]'s issues when they called and made us aware of them and were working to get them resolved.  Our staff was helpful and responsive to all their calls and emails.  We did not stop communication with them until they indicated that they were going to call an attorney on 04/11/2016.  At that time we told them that we could no longer communicate with them and that we would wait to hear from their attorney.  To date we have had no communication with the [redacted]'s or their attorney. Emails and phone logs can be provided if needed.

We have come to an agreement with the homeowner to replace the roof with a roofing system that will withstand the water ponding on the...

flat roof. We will install a Duro-Last roof with a 10 year labor warranty and a 15 year manufactures warranty.

Yes I met with [redacted] and we came to an agreement. Just waiting for the completion of the agreement. Remove flat roof to decking, install a 1/2 ultra board over decking. Fasten a 40 mill duro-last roofing. Repair all inside damage. Will respond when all completed.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The truck doing the damage to my drive was not a one-ton truck, but a huge dump truck parked in my drive from Monday to Wednesday afternoon.  I did not state I had several cracks, I stated I had two cracks.one at the bottom of the drive and one closer to the damage.  All the shingle and tar paper were loaded onto this dump truck, so it was considerably heavier than a one-ton truck with a flat bed.  Also the largest portion of the damage was not on the side of the drive where the tow truck entered.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
