Customer brought us the machine diagnosed by another company as a weak pump, We verified and disassembled the pump to repair but were unable to source repair parts neededWe found a specialized re-builder for the pump and sent out for repairAfter several weeks (longer than we were told by
re-builder) pump came back and we reinstalled as per the re-builders specs (at this time we did not have *** equipment specifications)Other repair items appeared on machine that we were not aware of such as "thumb control in/op and weak boom control" which we repaired. Machine still did not perform to customers satisfaction and we spent time to try to resolve at no charge. Pump was set at re-builders specifications and not set at *** equipment's specifications and customer wanted us to re-adjust the pump to match *** Specswhich we did at no chargeNow engine does not have the power to run pump at factory GPM/PressureCustomer did not like our findings and asked the local *** equipment service manager to verify our conclusionsIn which he did and agreed with our findingsAfter this we finally were informed by customer and *** Service manager that the machines computer to control this problem was removedIn my opinion the best solution at this time is to re-adjust the pump to match engine horsepowerIf it was my machine I would verify first engine output is within specificationThe Service Manager at *** said it best "In this situation that the machines weak pump originally was probably a match with the weaker engine"I am sorry that this didn't work out for both of us and it wasn't for a lack of tryingI wish I could think of something that would of helped better

We own an excavator, which was working great for us for about monthsAfter that time the performance started to go down hill A local mechanic tested it and thought it was the hydraulic pump going badI talked to salem hydraulics about it and asked if that is something they might be able to help withThey said "yes, that is what we do" In order for them to know for sure that it was the pump that is bad, they needed us to bring the machine into their facility and have it inspectedWe brought it in Jan 4thA few days later they verified that it was the pump and that it would likely need to be rebuiltThey told me they had the ability to do this and it shouldnt take too longA few days after that they told me they couldnt find parts for it and would need to ship the entire pump over to the east coast to have it repaired over thereA month later it was finally backAfter a day or two the pump was reinstalled and they called us to let us know the machine was ready to be picked
