This realty company did not provide a safe swelling with a working shower. They have not returned deposit nor have they supplied an accounting of whyThis landlord and realty company created a dangerous situation by knowingly allowing drugs to be sold out of his apartment. He was told about it and did nothing. We had to report the activity to the police at which point the offenders attacked us. In addition the landlord refused to properly fix the shower. Despite this we paid rent on time and actually sent all payments early. The realty company has not returned our security deposit nor has he provided any accounting of listing of repairs even though the lease ended 32 days ago and we moved out 3 days before the end of the lease. When asked in writing to provide either the money or an accounting he has given neither.Desired SettlementWe are seeking $385 security deposit refund plus a 10% recoupment of rent for the fact that the shower was never properly repaired.

First off I been having trouble getting things guided, so I got the city on the company then they send bootleg pl to fix stuff, the air condition doesNot work have to go online to put in request to fix now I'm home having to pump quarter or to make the air with so me and my kids won't have heat stroke while waiting till tomorrow and then they may not come thenDesired SettlementLease broke I want to move cause of it was winter I would've frozenBusiness Response I'm not really sure what the woman is trying to say. Her words don't make sense. The best I can make out of it is she's saying we don't get things done and her air conditioning is not working. The tenant has been a complainer since before she even moved in. We have repaired everything she has put legitimate requests for and have records to prove it. She did make a complaint to the [redacted] that we worked with on and they never told us we weren't getting repairs done or in a timely manner. Her current request that the air conditioning is not working was placed online at 653 PM on Friday 9/4/15. The work order was sent to the HVAC on Saturday 9/5/15 at 934 AM. The HVAC company should be contacting her today to schedule an appointment to repair whatever the issue is.The tenant is in a legal and binding lease and it will not be broken. She currently is behind on her rent and was facing eviction last month for nonpayment. I believe she is contacting you to try to get out of payments and break her lease.

FAILURE TO PROVIDE MOVE OUT INSPECTION REPORT OR SECURITY DEPOSITMy family and I moved into [redacted] in [redacted] NC on 09/12/2015. First off the day of move in there was no air. It was the following week before that got taken care of. Also the floor in front of the fireplace was falling in. It took a little time to get that patched not fixed. The home had a spider infestation that was never care of. There was a window in the master bedroom that had a plastic window pane instead of actual glass. The back fence was rotting and had support boards holding it up. A few months later the hot water went out. Someone was sent to fix it to get us by. A day later the hot water went out again. Luckily we got a new hot water heater. The air went out again in the summer of 2016 it took days for someone to come out. Then not even a month or two later the thermostat went bad and we were once again stuck in a hot home in the sweltering summer. The floor in the living room started to fall in again but no one ever came back to fix it again. We lived the last 6 plus months with a living room floor that was falling in due to rotten boards underneath. Not to mention the back fence that we had to patch up because our dogs kept falling through parts of it as they played around the back yard. Not to mention the problem with the electricity that I complained about and even got charged a $60 trip fee for the maintenance man coming out. The power switches kept throwing in the house. (very dangerous) Every time I cooked the stove switch would throw and we had to go outside to turn it back on. The master bedroom power kept blinking. You could here the buzzing.I put in a notice to move out of the home the last day of August. I got an email questing why I was moving out. Simple: Because I was tired of paying $1300.00 a month (on time might I add)for a house that kept issues. Since the office hours are during the same times as I work I was told to mail the keys. I put the keys in the mail almost a week before the last day because we moved out on August 20th. I got a text on 9/1/2016 requesting me to call the office. When I called I was told they got an empty sealed envelope with just a note. I really don't believe that because I mailed the keys myself. I was told they had to change the locks so I'm sure that's something they tried to charge me for. I talked to the rude employee[redacted]. Two weeks later I called back and asked what was the outcome of my move out inspection. [redacted] and her rude self transferred me to [redacted] who then said she would call back well she never did. I emailed [redacted] the following week who told me she was out of the office until the next week and to email the main office which I did and never got a response. When I put in my notice I asked how long does move out inspections take and I was told about 3 days from the rude employee[redacted]. Here it is 09/25/2016 and I have not gotten a call, an email or a refund on my security deposit. We left that home in the absolute best condition considering it slackly renovated upon move in. NO holes in the walls or anything. Upon move out I cleaned that house like I was moving in. I don't know if they are trying to cheat me out of my security deposit or what but I'm not happy about it. We were good tenants who paid our rent on time and put in the necessary maintenance requests. The house wasn't looking brand new when we moved out but it was in good enough condition to where if they didn't have to replace the rotten floors it could have been put back on the market within 2 days. That's how clean I left it. I just want them to do right by me and my security deposit and be honest with my move out inspection. It is bad business that I have not heard from anyone almost a month later. I could have at least gotten an email saying we are working on it and you will have it by a certain date. Don't just have me calling and emailing and I'm getting the run around. I never gave the run around when it was rent time. Desired SettlementI just want to get my security deposit back.Business Response Our policy is to stick to the Real Estate Commission guidelines of returning the security deposit within 30 days of the end of the lease. We normally send security deposits out on the 30th day to insure all repairs are done and that we don't incur any utility charges that the tenant hasn't paid. The tenant has mistaken our move in policy in which they are given a move in inspection sheet that needs to be returned within 3 days. She was also told by the office that she would get her security deposit back after the house was inspected and return in the time frame I have mentioned above. She kept calling, emailing and texting myself and our staff because she thought she could get it back sooner since she moved out before the end of the month like she says above. Her full security deposit was put in the mail on September 30th to the PO box listed on this correspondence. Consumer Response Although the policy of having to wait 30 days after move out was not clearly stated I did receive my deposit back. I would suggest that tenants are made aware of the policy when the lease is signed and reminded once they move out . I was told it takes about 3 days after move out for inspection so of course I was wondering what happened. However despite all the problems I had with the home and getting the run around within those thirty days I felt that the company did right by me with my security deposit. This complaint can be closed.
