Review: A subsidiary of Salem Church Products, [redacted] illegally charged me for $135 in services after I had canceled my account. In November, 2012, I created an account with a subsidiary of Salem Church Products, [redacted]. In December 2012, I canceled the account for the following reasons: 1. Resumes did not load properly onto their website, 2. My account was never acknowledged so I could not conduct searches, and 3. Their technology department provided very poor customer service. So after one month of business, I decided to cancel my account with [redacted]. In September, 2013, I discovered that [redacted] had continued billing me after I canceled the account, and I notified [redacted] to block [redacted] from further billings. On September 27, 2013, I notified [redacted] via their contact portal asking for the amount of $135 to be returned, but have received no response. Below is the message I sent to [redacted] via their contact page on Sept. 27, 2013: Dear [redacted]: I stopped my account back in December 2012 and had asked for a refund of the charge of $15 for that month. You stated that you would grant it, but did not credit my [redacted] card. I just found out that you have been charging me $15 per month since February 2013 without authorization. Please refund me $135, which includes the December amount you stated that you would refund for December 2012, and all of the fraudulent charges posted to my [redacted] card from February 2013 through September 2013. Sincerely, [redacted]Desired Settlement: $135 in back charges.

Response:

Our records indicate [redacted] registered for an account on 11/15/12 and purchased the premium membership for $15 per month, which renews automatically as stated on our website. She did experience some issues with her account initially, which our representative, [redacted] was in contact with her to resolve. There was contact through email in November and January assisting her with her account and assisting her with posting her resume. We also gave [redacted] 1 free month of service on her account as a courtesy, therefore her January membership fee was skipped. We also requested that she contact us back if she was still experiencing difficulties or had any additional questions, however we received no further response since our last reply on 1/8/13. Our records also show [redacted] was able to post her resume successfully on 1/15/13, after our last correspondence. We also see she was using her account actively throughout the following months with a new resume posted on 7/9/13. Our records then indicate she canceled her premium membership on 9/30/13 which was canceled successfully and no additional charges have been incurred since then.

Review: I do not know how (though say I signed up for it) there newsletter from [redacted] I have submitted the unsuncribe form which has not worked. I have emailed into the info email, which I got no response. This is getting stupid, I get 7+ emails a day from them. I had to change my spam blocker to try to catch all of them and now its overly sensitive. These emails are offensive and do not align with my values.Desired Settlement: Just take off their email list FOREVER!
