Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: According to the Sunday advertising that you send me, Jcpenny optical tell you in advance about the discounts, but when I went to you optical office, I didn't see any display or customer information about the discounts that you offer, until I choose my first frames and you customer service employee told me about NO DISCOUNTS WHIT ANY INSURANCE, and the difference between red tag and black tag on the frames that I choose the first time was around 140dlls. The same day I spoke with one of you customer service (HWY 6/ Bagby) on Spanish to get a better explanation and understanding better, she said clearly "Insurance take more time to pay us, is why we don't offer this discounts" This morning I spoke with [redacted] his a VSP Insurance customer service ( [redacted] 5) and he said that my case about this incident still under insurance investigation and still open, he told me to call back Friday to get an answer. I know this is you business and you can apply you regulations and policies, but this is an observation that I notice I really like the services as a eye doctor, I'm you customer for around 3 years, but this is the first time that I notice this issue on this other matter. I hope this letter finds you wellAt Salganik Vision Group and Optique, we mark our frames with prices to insure that you receive the lowest possible price for your eyewearThe first price ("black
price") is our usual and customary retail priceThe second price ("red price") is marked as sale price, our current promotional price that we are offering to our patients that are not using a vision care plan, insurance, or other discount promotionsWe purposely label our frames so that our patients can see if their vision care plan provides the better cost or if it would be more beneficial to use our in-store saleWe maintain complete visibility to insure that our patients get the best cost benefitI have enclosed examples of optical sales from the local_ Sunday paper and circled the disclaimers, which state that you cannot use your insurance benefits with these promotions
To confirm that we are in compliance with your insurance company's policies, I called the VSP claims department (1-***) and spoke with ***She assured me that everything we are doing is well above board and commended us for giving our patients the ability to choose from their third party discount plan or from our in store promotions
