Sallaum Group Reviews (2)

Review: I filed a complain on 7/19/2013. The complain ID is: [redacted] and the details of the complains are as follows;

I shipped a Green 2007 Toyota Camry Sedan with Sallaum Group from Jacksonville Seaport to Lagos, Nigeria in December 2012. I delivered the vehicle to the company's authorized representative at the Jacksonville sea port with the vehicle's original ignition key (Keyless entry). However, the vehicle was delivered in Nigeria without a key. This necessitated me to tow the vehicle from the Nigerian sea port. I incurred extra costs as a result of towing the vehicle from the port to the final destination and replacing the ignition key for the vehicle. I immediately informed the company in January 2013 about the situation and ever since it has been series of lies and excuses. They admitted losing the key was their fault and they considered refunding the expenses associated with the lost key. But after seven months, I was informed this week that their boss said that he cannot offer me any refund and I should go sort it out with their subsidiary office in Nigeria. I did not conduct any business with their subsidiary in Nigeria. Moreover, the company in Nigeria has already informed me from the onset that they are not responsible for losing my key, hence they will not give me a refund. The company is seeking ways not to refund me of the additional cost of replacing the lost key and other associated costs . They want me to suffer the consequences of their negligence.

When the compliant was submitted. The company responded with the same excuse they have been providing me since January of this year ( **. [redacted] always told me they will get back to me as soon as possible with a resolution). Unfortunately, I was in military training and could not respond to the message via Revdex.com complaint website in a timely manner, so the case was closed as resolved. However, this case has not been resolved, I just got back from my two weeks training this weekend and I have not been contacted by the company. Please I need a reimbursement for the cost associated with replacing my car keys which was misplaced by Sallaum group. This company has been giving me running around since January, 2013. It is almost nine months and I am still at a dead end with no resolution. I am tired of their lies and delay tactics. I believe the company's aim is to frustrate me and have me give up on the claim.

Please, I need help. I am tired of them always telling me they are going to talk to their partner company in Nigeria to find out what went wrong. The company is treating this case like a mystery. It is a very simple case, there is no way I could have had the car delivered (driven) to Jacksonville Seaport without the ignition key. I delivered the car to them with the key and all I am asking for is for them to provide me with reimbursement of the costs associated with towing the car from the Nigerian sea port (because Locksmith were not allowed to make keys in the port for security reasons) and the amount I spent on making new keysDesired Settlement: Reimbursement for cost associated with towing the vehicle and making new set of keys. I spent almost $1,400 in towing the vehicle and replacing the ignition.

I would want this costs refunded by the company I dealt with, which is the Sallaum group in Virginia. I table with pursuing my refund with any subsidiary company outside America, as I did not directly deal with them.

Thank you in anticipation of your support.
