We received the copy of the complaint submitted to you by Mr*** and have been reviewing his accountI apologize for the delay in replyingI was awaiting documentation on the order MrBillet placed from our fulfillment companyMr*** submitted two subscription orders ( copies enclosed)
The first order was received on 7/14/It was a reply to one of our regular renewal mailings that had been sent out to himThe second was a reply to an order form on the cover of the magazine and was received on 8/24/Our renewal series consists of seven mailings and two cover tip-ons that are attached to the final two issues of a subscriptionIn some cases a subscriber renewal orders can cross in the mail with additional notices or issue being sent outHis first order on 7/did include the payment of for the subscription, but the second order did not include a paymentOrders that come in without payment are sent a series of five invoices and I have confirmed these were sent to Mr*** at the address in our systemAt any time he could have simply sent back an invoice marking it cancelled and the second order would have been cancelled without further payment obligationHe also could have called our hour toll free customer service line at any point to inquire about the billing and cancel the subscriptionCustomers that do not cancel and still have a balanced owed after our billing series are referred to *** *** in a final attempt to get paymentI have asked for *** *** to remove him from any records and they have done so (email confirmation enclosed)We consider his amount due to us now is His paid renewal order is still valid and his subscription will continue through our November/December issue
