Days before [redacted] and her daughter came into the salon I was
informed that she ([redacted]) specifically asked for me to lend my service to
her daughter. She specifically asked for me because I previously cut her hair
TWICE as well as her mother’s hair (the grandmother) in which both...

were
satisfied with their hairstyles. When [redacted] and her daughter came in on
August 13, 2015 for her services, she ([redacted]) told me one on one that if I ever
left the salon where I conduct my work to let her know so she can follow me
there because I did such an excellent job on her hair.I then proceeded to have consultation with her daughter in
our sitting area to see what style haircut she was going for. We went over how much
to cut, layers and style. [redacted] also told me that a pervious stylist that
they went to undercut her daughter’s curly hair and that her grandmother trimmed
it as well. [redacted] daughter gave me an image portraying the hairstyle of
her choice. We ([redacted],  her daughter,
and I) made our way to my station to get started on her daughter and [redacted]
left to go to the library and returned soon after. When she walked back in she
made her way back to my station to check to see if the length that I cut her
daughter was fine. She gave me her approval and told me that the length was
fine. She then processed to make her way to our salon waiting area. A few
minutes later she came back while I was in the midst of layering her daughter’s
hair and she made the comment “it looks wonderful…your ends (of her hair) feel
soft already!” Then went and sat back down as I worked on finished up her
daughter’s hair.During the session I spoke to and asked her daughter’s
questions about her hair i.e. “tell me how many layers are you looking for?”,”
do you want face framing layers, or just towards the bottom?” etc… I spoke to
her the entire time not only about her hair but we had a nice casual
conversation about how her summer went, being ready for school and so on. Towards
the end of her hair service I asked her was there anything else I can do for
her? She told me her layers around her face were too long, she asked me to take
a little more off so her curls around her face can bounces up more between her
cheek and chin bone. So I obliged. After I provided her with that I proceeded to spray her hair
down with water and diffused it so she could she see the layers and definition
in her curls. Afterwards I asked if she liked it….she told me yes with a smile
on her face. I then said in a friendly way “don’t lie to me now…if there’s
anything wrong or that I can do let me know it’s not a problem….” She told me
no it was fine and she liked it. I then handed her a mirror so she could see
the back of her hair, I took her cap off and we started towards her mom in the waiting
room. When we arrived to meet her mother in the waiting room, I said
in a friendly upbeat way, “here’s your brand new daughter!” and he got up, saw
it and had a pleasing tone and facial expressions. [redacted] was touching her
daughter’s hair, saying how she loved it, that I did a great job. She asked her
daughter if she liked it and her daughter said yes she did. Her daughter even
mentioned to me that now that she has her layers when her hair grows out it
will have defined layers in it. Her mother ([redacted]) told me thank you and all
three of us made our way to the register to check them out for the service. When
[redacted] gave me her card to pay for her service ($35.00) she realized she didn’t
have any physical cash to give me for my tip. She wanted to tip me so she had
me run her card again for my tip $10.00. As we squared away her payment, I asked
her if she wanted to rebook an appointment. She told me she does best by
calling as a lot of our clients do; she then told me that I will definitely she
her and her mom in September. Her daughter then asked me if there was a
trashcan near where she could throw away the picture of the hairstyle she showed
me during our earlier consultation because she didn’t need it anymore. I said
sure I can do that for you and she handed me the image to discard for her. After
we squared everything away I came from behind the receptionist area and walked
them to the door. They both said thank you and that they both loved it. I told
them thank you again and said have a nice day and we parted ways. There were no arguments, no displeasing tone or comments, no
fiasco and no complaints. One of the owners and one of my co-workers were in
our break room

Review: I took my daughter to these people for her haircut her hair was to her waist I told the beautician to take 2 inches off of hair she cut eight inches off of her, she was also supposed to put a few layers in her hair which did not do and follow the picture we gave her. My daughters hair is gorgeous and long it has never been cut short she is a dancer and has to put her hair up in a bun it will be hard to do now she also auditions. her hair is her signature trademark. It is thick and long and curly. I paid for the cut I didn't know what to do. my daughter has cried for three hours. I called the salon and told them I wanted to speak to owner and also left two messages the reception hung up on me and was really hateful. I called back 5 times she would pick up the phone and hang it up. I want my money backDesired Settlement: my money refunded and for them to make this up to my daughter...She has never been this upset!
