Thank you for contacting us on such important meter.
Salon Amarti has been in [redacted],[redacted] for over 7 years and always has been one of the top salons in this area.
We are truly surprised by those false accusations.We do remember very well the lady from [redacted],Florida and we would like to take a moment and give our point of view.Indeed she was charged the amount of $110 for hair color &haircut.Everyone can take the time and check our website at www.Salonamarti.com to see what our prices are and that $110 is well below what we usually would charge for haircut and color.When the lady called to request a service and the price for it she did ask only how much color touch up would be and she was given the price of $55. That what she was charged for her color.In additional she did ask for a haircut once she came in to Salon Amarti.Our prices are in display at the salon as well as our website.Of course a haircut would be additional charge.The lady's hair was partially blow dried because that was her wish not because she was denied service.We take our time with all of our clients.We do not offer any military,senior or junior discounts.We also do not compare prices with other salons.If a senior haircut cost $13 in [redacted],Florida it should not be expected by anyone that will be the same in [redacted],[redacted],Virginia.Salon Amarti is located in an exclusive area and you would not find a salon that charges less then $55-$65 for a haircut.
Our salon been compared to [redacted] is ridiculous simply because of location and style.[redacted] which the lady called to compare prices is not in [redacted] nor have any of our great well known stylists.In our industry prices are based upon many factors from location,experts,hair products,education and so go on.
The complainant was never charged for service she did not receive.If in her mind a slight trim should cost less then cutting 5 inches off for a hairdresser does not make any difference at all.Haircut is a haircut no meter the length that has been taken of simply because it takes same amount of time to cut 1/2 ' or 5 'of the hair.
We stand strong behind our prices and reputation and will not let this issues be resolve in her favor.
It would be totally unfair to our great stylist who took the time and effort to do her hair.We do not force anyone to come to our salon either.
We truly feel sorry that our prices did not meet her expectations or give her any sort of trouble.For people who live in Washington DC and [redacted],Virginia our prices are considered fair and match very well the quality of service provided at Salon Amarti.

Review: We are visiting [redacted] from May 23 to May 30, staying at [redacted]. I called Salon Amarti to inquire about hair coloring. They quoted me $55.00 for a permanent coloring, so I made an appointment to have my hair colored at noon today, May 27. Upon entering the salon, I asked if the gentleman would cut my hair before coloring. He said, no, they cut after coloring. So, he proceeded to color my hair, which took approximately 45 minutes. At the end, his assistant shampooed my hair, then transferred me back to the stylist, who cut about 1/2 inch off my hair and partially dried it.When we went to check out, I was astonished when he said the price was $110.00. I questioned his price, to which he answered that the coloring was $55.00, but the haircut was another $55.00. I told him that was absurd. I have never paid more than $13.00 for a senior haircut in [redacted], FL. He did not "style" it; just trimmed 1/2 inch off the bottom. I reluctantly paid the bill under protest. I believe he overcharged me for the haircut, knowing I was not a resident here.When we returned to our apartment, I called another salon, [redacted] on [redacted] Street, for a price comparison. TLC quoted $45 or $55, depending upon the length of hair, plus $28 for a haircut. This I would consider reasonable, but $55 for a haircut: ABSURD.Desired Settlement: I should like to have my [redacted], which I used for payment of the $110.00, credited.
