The business has responded Please see below: This is in response to a complaint filed by [redacted] in December On December ***, I spoke to my employee, [redacted] , regarding this incidentI would like to state that if [redacted] had complained to me when I personally booked her appointment, I would have taken care of her myself if she didn’t like the way [redacted] had cut her hair on a previous occasionAs far as the girl who blew dry her hair, she is my personal assistant (not a sweeper) and an excellent stylist who does most of my long hair blow drysEveryone in my shop pitches in to sweep floors, including myselfI am very sorry we did not make this client happy and I will gladly provide restitution to [redacted] , and personally cut her hair at no costIf [redacted] is willing to call me personally, I will be happy to speak with her to straighten out this matterIn any case, I am refunding her money immediatelyIn years of doing business, this is the first formal complaint that I have receivedI take feedback from customers seriously, and as part of continually improving my business, I regularly incorporate this feedback into running my salon

I would like to state that if [redacted] had complained to me when I personally booked her appointment, I would have taken care of her myself if she didn’t like the way [redacted] had cut her hair on a previous occasion. As far as the girl who blew dry her hair, she is my personal assistant (not a sweeper) and an excellent stylist who does most of my long hair blow drys. In 35 years of doing business, this is the first formal complaint that I have received. Review: On 11/** I went into Salon Antonio and [redacted] was my hair stylist. My appointment was at [redacted] but I was not seen until [redacted] and my appointment was originally supposed to be with [redacted], the salon [redacted], but evidently he was too busy for me. [redacted] was also swamped with clients and she repeatedly told me so while I was sitting in her chair. When I walked into the salon I had long hair with no layers and I requested that I keep the length and just get some layers to give my hair dimension. [redacted] told me that it would be no problem and that I would only need to cut half an inch of deadness from the ends, which I agreed was fine. [redacted] cut my hair with a center part the entire time and then when she was done cutting it, she had the sweeper woman come and blow my hair out. After it was dry, [redacted] glanced at it and said it looked great. She was busy with another client and didn't come over to inspect the quality of her work. When I went home, I played with my hair and styled it how I like and realized what a terrible job she had done. The layers were very choppy and uneven on either side and she had taken about 6 inches off the total length, much to my horror. On 12/* (I went on a vacation right after the haircut and this was the earliest I could get in) I returned to the salon and pointed out what I didn't like about the haircut (the uneven layers and the lack of length) and she said she didn't recall doing my hair and doubted that it had even been long to begin with so I showed her a picture and she brushed it off. When I explained how I wanted my hair fixed, she was rude and condescending towards me and asked me to sign a contract to agree not to be upset with the new haircut because it would end up ugly. Overall, she was quite rude and unwilling to listen to me and work with me. She insisted she was right and refused to concede anything. After the tone she took, I felt uncomfortable allowing her near me or my hair again because I suspect she would deliberately make an ugly haircut even worse.Desired Settlement: I paid $45 for the haircut and would like a refund on that, at the very least. I am appalled because the [redacted] of the salon, [redacted], was standing not two feet away throughout the entire altercation and did not step in to tell [redacted] to treat customers with respect nor did he offer me any sympathy or refund upon hearing my complaint. Any respectable business [redacted] should encourage his employees to be respectful and should also have his clients' best interests at heart.
