Hello [redacted],   I am responding to a letter I received regarding [redacted]'s complaint. I don't even know where to begin with this one. Let's just start with I have done hair for 18 years. I specialize in mixed/biracial hair, which I've done my whole life. This client was referred to...

me by her CPS worker whom works with my best friend. The CPS worker reached out and asked if I could do box braid extensions. We made an appt. and any time I do extensions I ask if they would like me to get the hair or would they be bringing it. They wanted to bring the hair. When they came for their appt. at noon it was the daughter [redacted], the CPS worker [redacted] and the pother [redacted] disappeared and we started the hair. When I opened the pack of hair it was the wrong kind of hair (they bought micro braids hair which does not work for box braids). We then had to wait until the mother came back so we could all go together to but the correct hair. We now started around 1:30. During this time the CPS worker and I had to hear about their whole life story and why she doesn't have custody of her daughter and some of her daughters issues. One of the issues she said was that her daughter pulled out her extensions the last time she had them done. She also said that the reason she bought micro braids hair is because she was allergic to box braid hair. Her and her daughter had several conversations about her not pulling them out this time and worrying about her being allergic again. Because we started late I had to push my clients at 4 back to 5:30 which was very inconvenient for everyone. I spent about 4 hours on her hair which is average for extensions. So it was a lie to say I worked on her hair from 12-8. [redacted] said she liked it and they left. This was on Dec. 30th so the next days were holidays and I was off. The next days I received phone calls and emails stating that a few of [redacted]'s braids fell out. [redacted] does not have really short hair so there was plenty of hair for me to braid the fake hair in to. It would be impossible for these to fall out in a days time unless tampered with. Monday came and I received more calls and emails. Later in the week a girl came to my salon while I was busy with 2 customers and questioned me about if I do extensions, so I do box braids, do I specialize in them, do I guarantee my work, what would I do if any fell out, etc....at that time I knew exactly who she was, even her name, because [redacted] talked so much about her. She was [redacted]'s friend who lives with them who lived wherever they had moved from. 20 minutes later [redacted] walked in demanding a refund again. This time I told her she couldn't come in my job like that nor send people in. I later emailed her that I would not be giving her a refund and if she kept harassing me I would call the police on her. I also contacted her CPS worker to tell her about the harassment. I did not and do not feel like this client should receive a refund. I did exactly what I was asked to do and have a ton of experience in this field.   Attached is a photo of her hair when finished and the time we finished.   ?
