Salon Hush Reviews (1)

October 30th, 2015 I went to Salon hush for waxing my eyebrows. I was shocked because after waxing my eyebrows. It turned out my skin was burned. I talked to [redacted] who did my eyebrows and she said it was all good, it's just a little red. But it wasn't. It was really burned and painful. I had to go to mexico looking terrible because of that burned. I had to cover it up with make up but still. You can see it. I talked to the highest person. The owner. [redacted] I sent her the pictures and my concerns. She said she was sorry she will give me full credit for $13 dollars. I said okay. After a month I'm still concern because it left a little red mark on my skin. It looks like it is a scar already. Thats why I had to talk to them again. [redacted] I called them and talked to [redacted] and she told me "I don't think that's a scar, sometimes it happens." I was shocked. [redacted] I was expecting a better compensation that their "Sorry and $13 dollars credit." [redacted] I talked to her again about it. She said that's all they can do because they already offered the $13 dollars credit. And she wanted me to come there so she can see my face. She already seen it when it was burned. and now she wants to see it again because she's insisting it won't scar. I just want a better compensation. [redacted]Desired SettlementBetter compensation.Business Response [redacted]To our records here at Salon Hush [redacted] was a walk in client on October 31st, 2015 at approx. 4:30 pm. [redacted] came in requesting a brow wax, which was done by [redacted]. [redacted] had done a few other brow waxes that day and there were no issues resulting in the other clients. It is very possible that [redacted] has sensitive skin, which was mentioned to her when we seen the result of the waxing. At this time [redacted] applied post waxing cooling gel which would have helped the inflammation of the skin. [redacted] made [redacted] aware that she was leaving on a trip the next day. [redacted] was advise to try to keep the affected skin out of the sun as it could cause further irritation of the skin. [redacted] did contact the owner of Salon hush while on her trip and we went over post waxing care, and agreed that polysportin was a good ointment to use, as well as keeping the area clean so it wont result in infection or slower healing. A full credit of $13.00 was credited to her to use towards any services she desired at salon. At this time [redacted] was quite happy that she was getting the credit and agreed to see [redacted] for hair services with the credit she is given. As far as Salon Hush was concerned this incident had been resolved. Approximately a month later [redacted] contacted Salon Hush and spoke directly to [redacted]. At this time she no longer was happy with the agreed upon credit and services. [redacted] had asked [redacted] to talk to [redacted] and see what we could do. [redacted] advised [redacted] that it takes time to heal and had apologized again about the situation. At this time [redacted] reminded [redacted] that she had a full credit of $13.00 (cost of a brow wax that was paid by client at time of service) to put towards her hair, (previous agreed upon resolution)[redacted] continued to state that there was a mark. Therefore [redacted] asked her what it was she wanted us to do for her.She did not let [redacted] know what it was she wanted us to do instead continued to state that she was unhappy there was a mark. We then once again tried to resolve the issue by having her come down to the salon to reassess the area. [redacted] agreed that she would make it in that week. We did not see [redacted] come in that week or the following week nor did we hear from [redacted]. We assumed the affected area had healed and she was once again satisfied with having the credit on file to put towards her hair services. As stated [redacted] applied make up to try to conceal the burn. This should not have been done as Makeup can cause bacteria to get into the open wound and slow down heal time or possibly cause infection or scarring. At most sunscreen should have been used on affected area. Especially if she was on vacation in mexico where the temperature is much hotter and the air is much more humid causing a higher chance of bacteria growth. [redacted] had asked [redacted] to come in for a reassessment so she could see what she could do to help her in the situation as well as look at the affected area again to have a better visual of the area. We at Salon Hush was willing to have her come in so we can help her and come to a resolution to the situation. We had asked [redacted] what it was she wanted for compensation, but she did not seem to know what it was she wanted. We offered on two different occasions the full amount she paid to be credited to her for her hair services.
