This stylist cut my hair terribly. *** owns the salon, so I do not have anywhere else to turn to get a refund. My hair was already short when I went to get my hair cut by ***, the salon owner/stylist. I was no more than 5 minutes late and prior to my appointment time, I texted AND called her to let her know I was running late due to being caught up in traffic behind and accident. She texted back and said it was fine. Like I said I was 5 minutes late and even had to wait for her to finish up on her previous client. She kept telling me she was running behind because I was late, she also refused to look at my pictures of desired haircut becsause she said the hairstyle was ugly and my hair was nothing like the one in picture, she also mad my 15 yearold daughter wait outside, out of my sight and I was quite nervous. She proceeded to cut my hair and kept telling me I moved too much and talked too much and kept jerking my head very forcibly. The haircut I ended up with, left me looking ridiculous and she cut it way shorter than I had wanted, making it impossible to get my hair recut to fix it. I have asked repeatedly for the $65 to be refunded, but she has not relplied, except to reply to a post on her website that I should not have been late.
I am writing in response to this complaint. I understand there is always two sides to a story and I would like to share mine. This client arrived 18 minutes late for her appointment which time is of the essence in my business. She came with her 15 year old daughter and I am the owner of a very small private studio salon. I do not have space for extra chairs so I asked that her daughter wait in the building lobby while I cut her hair. We love in a very safe area where there are many independent studios in one building. She showed me photos of what she wanted and while I was cutting her hair she wanted to talk about the state of our country and our current president. I told her I ask not allowed to talk politics and she kept talking about it. When I was finished with her hair she paid me and left. It took her a week to start leaving me bad reviews and I think I gave her a great hair cut. . I replied to the reviews kindly. She left excessive reviews on *** and *** and both those sites advised me to block her and call the police if she shows up in my studio. She has not tried to contact me personally, only tried to leave bad reviews. Both *** and *** removed her reviews because they were threatening reviewer. Both sites had me block her and ignore her. I have no problem refunding her $65 but would not feel comfortable with her being in my salon as I work independently. I’m afraid of her. I am unsure of how to refund her money at this point as I don’t want her in my salon. Please advise me how to move forward and resolve this.
