Salon Real Del Valle

To whom it may concern,
We have a 15 year Birthday celebration (quinceañera) scheduled and are currently still paying for July 2020 at Salon Real Del Valle in Edinburg,Tx . Due to the Covid 19 pandemic we have not been able to shop and prepare for this event this is something that obviously was unforeseen to all of us. We still don’t know what’s to come in July on the date of our event . I proceeded to do the most reasonable step and change the date of our event and made contact with the person in charge of Salon Real Del Valle And also explained our situation due the Covid 19 pandemic, I also expressed to him that we understood this was a situation that was unfortunate to him as well as a Business owner. I am not seeking to get a refund all we want is to change the date of the event to prepare and overall and most importantly to a safer date where Covid -19 is not gonna be a factor and health hazard to our loved ones specially with the ones that already have underlying conditions. Unfortunately upon contacting the person In charge he stated that he could not change the date because if he did it would be like if I was getting 2 dates for the price of 1. He further stated that he could only change it 2 weeks before the event if he was not allowed to held the event. He also stated that if we changed the date before the 2 weeks of the event we would have to pay 4,000.00 dollars. This person went on telling me that if it came to the point where people had to wear a mask and make it a part of our daily routine then be it “people wear scarfs for fashion what’s the difference “ he stated and that was his way of saying he was being reasonable after I asked him to be more flexible. He went on a rant agitated and trying to tell me all the issues he has to deal with, after that I decided to just end the call Because I was not getting anywhere and told him let’s see what happens by July. We feel this person is being very inconsiderate and unprofessional this type of event takes a lot of time to prepare.
