Review: I had a consultation appointment at Salon Vivace. There, I showed photos of the hair color I wanted. The stylist said, no problem, she could easily do the color. She said I would need to schedule for a longer appointment time slot, she was going to do one procedure, break, then the second procedure. I said fine and scheduled. The day of my appointment, the original hair coloring plan changed. She said I would have to come back for a second appointment. I asked her should I wait about 4 weeks or so to return, as I did not want to damage my hair. She said, no waiting necessary, come back in a few days. I had my second appointment. These 2 appointments credit card charges, plus additional cash tips, totaled over $450.00. At the end of my second appointment, I was horrified. My hair was dark on the top about 5 inches and then lighter on the bottom, missed areas of color toward the back of my head. I have photos. Called salon - needed someone to correct this mess. Another consult. This stylist was putting down the first, which was awkward for me. Scheduled with her. But she says to wait a while because my hair was damaged by first stylist. Then get a call from salon - second stylist does not feel comfortable anymore because my hair color was so horrible from first. Make consult with owner, Glenn. Told him exactly what I wanted, showed same picture. He gives reasons why this can not be done. My hair is damaged and breaking. He says he can not say for sure what caused the damage. I can! It was caused by the first stylist. Return for appointment with Glenn. He tells me to look at his assistant's makeup and lip stick (not making this up), he says her makeup and red lipstick are perfect. He says the blonde hair is basically not for me. How does he make these irrelevant assumptions? After all I had been through with his salon, it was unprofessional and degrading. He does highlights but not completely in the back due to too time consuming. Tries to SELL me product for my damaged hair, caused by his stylistDesired Settlement: This has been stressful, time consuming, expensive and exhausting. Including all appointments and consults, had 6, 2 of which were a 40 minute drive one-way, parking costs, and mileage. Spent $450 at the first 2 appointments. Left now with breaking hair, will need additional work and products and cut. Requesting full $450.00 refund, plus $8 for parking for 2 appointments, plus cost of hi-lites completed on back of head and hair cut at this salon by Glenn or cover the charge at another salon.

Review: I had a scheduled appointment on Friday, February 20. After driving 45 minutes through rush hour, paying for parking, and hiking through the snow I entered the salon. The Receptionist asked for my name and informed me that the woman who was scheduled for my services had fallen ill. I totally understand that this sort of thing happens, but there was absolutely zero warning to me prior to my afternoon appointment that this was the case. What was even more concerning was that the Receptionist had LIED to my face with the manager, [redacted] standing right there, that she "had been trying to get a hold of me all morning". I had ZERO voicemails on my phone, aside from the single voicemail that was left just 15 minutes prior to my scheduled appointment - after I had already arrived and paid for parking. After asking what my next option would be, their solve was informing me that I could reschedule - not offering any sort of replacement to provide those scheduled services. At that point, I was pretty flustered and taken aback by the poor customer service. After calling back the same day, I asked for a full refund because I was so taken aback by their lack of customer commitment. Ironically, the manager, [redacted], was with a client and "couldn't come to the phone". After almost a month of calling the salon, speaking to Glenn just once after 6 voicemaills, I still have not received my $100 refund that he had promised me over the phone.Desired Settlement: I would like to receive my $100 refund as promised by the manager and owner, [redacted].
