Now fast forward a bit. I rent an entire room weekly to myself after the other horrible experience. Now I have the Salons By JC website not advertising my services correctly, answering my clients questions, and not telling them to call my business line directly. I even had an issue where the secretary to the Salons by JC building was trying to argue with my clients about their services. The owner wants the suite owners to be friends yet every single suite owner in there hates each other. They don't cross promote. Owner even changed locks to my suite and my door code.
I would highly recommend not starting your business venture here or with these owners.
I would like to respond to these accusations. This renter was disgruntled because she fell behind on rent and I had to address this issue. I gave ample time to catch up but she never did and I ended up having to write off unpaid rent. You cannot expect to continue to work in a rented space without paying rent. (1) The facility does rent to all beauty and wellness providers which includes stylists who tend to be louder than aestheticians and massage therapists. This is something that is told to renters from the initial tour. (2) The facility manager has no knowledge of aesthetics and would therefore never argue about services or argue with any customer period. She has an outstanding reputation and we receive constant, positive feedback..(3) There was some tension between tenants early on, but those tenants are no longer renting from SBJC. This is not special to my business, all businesses have different personalities and will inevitably have tension at some point and time. (4) No one would cross promote with this person because they did not want to refer their clients to her. That is on her not my business. Lastly, for this one unsatisfied renter, there are many more thrilled renters at SBJC-Northgate.
In the state of Tennessee we had a binding verbal agreement and the text messages written agreement.
Owner changed the locks and the door code and broke our verbal agreement and our renting agreement.
She then refused to let me get my things until I threatened to come with police and my attorney letter. I can provide all screen shots of conversation and voice messages to the Revdex.com from my attorney who already has them if they would like proof of all the above thing I've stated.
